  The town chief should collect funds from all vehicle operators coming to the transport station to construct a sanitation area urinal and toilet. After it has been completed continue to collect some funds and then hire someone to maintain the area. If the place is maintained properly people will pay to use the place. Guess what this is how all big cities are doing to keep people coming to visit their cities. By the way make sure you pay the caretaker well so that he/she will take pride in the work.

  You probably have heard God helps those who help themselves. Why can't the whole town take the first Saturday of each month to begin cleaning the whole town and designate areas to collect trash and ensure everyone contribute to keep the town clean and presentable and then when you call on the authorities to assist when they see what you have began there will be no excuse to do their share. Try with the low hanging fruits and build on it. You live there therefore do what you can do the make it the way you want it to be. This is just a suggestion and I hope it will start the ball rolling.

  New Edubiase is my second home town. Even though I spent most of my early childhood in the Eastern Region of Ghana, I became a native of New Edubiase. I attended both elementary and secondary schools at New Edubiase. The people of New Edubiase are very humble, friendly, kind, and accommodating. Even though the town could boast of prominent personalities such as Professors, Medical Doctors, Managing Directors, Timber Contractors, Businessmen, Rich Market women, and a lot of Cocoa producers/farmers, these natives could scarcely come together to discuss issues pertaining to the development of the town. Equally important was the fact that Edubiase could produce a lot of scholars who attended, and are still attending University Ghana, Legon, University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, and University of Cape Coast. Such scholars from New Edubiase are also all over the Diaspora. However one thing I found about the people of New Edubiase was that they seemed not to care about the development of the town. Why? I used to ponder over this question, and had always no answer to my question.

  If there are all these personalities and they can not come together to handle the development of their own area then they should be a shame of themselves. When all these so called men/women go the market square and wanted to use the urinal what do they do? Think about that and find solution to this problem yourselves. Begin collecting taxes to handle these issues.
