I have the same question people just want to simplify everything. My question to Hardi, Ibrahim is how come Fifa can get result and UN cannot. Compare Fifa to UN and come back. Example Fifa has no governmental interference clause and every dare not cross that line. UN cannot even get U.N. sanctions on Syria to work.

Mr Ibrahim, absolutely brilliant article. I am very impressed with the way have you successfully sculptured your analogy from football and applied it to Ghana's economic development. I share many of the points you have raised and just as yourself hope that Ghanaians will learn to depend on ourselves rather than continuously going around with a begging bowl for donations. Ghana possesses everything that is needed to propel us into a self sufficient middle income economy. If everyone does their part genuinely, honestly, consistently and put the nation first, it will not take too long before Ghana emerges from its economic doldrums and begin to flex its power on the global stage. I have for a while being stating that all these years are our second down, all the pieces are beginning to come together nicely, if our leaders orchestrate our enormous economic, human resource and other potential the right way, Ghana, just like the Black Stars will without a doubt enter the world stage economically. God bless Ghana.

Is that also a party politics ?have you forgotten they have awarded themselves big salaries and allowances, mismanagement and corruption every where ?

Whether one agrees with the analogy or not is immaterial; at least, it sets up a decent platform for a mature discourse towards nation building.

GHANA FOR GOD SAKE, WHAT IS THIS ABOUT SEEKING SELF RECOGNITION ABOUT PERFOMANCES AT THE WORLD CUP GERMANY & SOUTH AFRICA. WHY DO POEPLE IN GHANA FOOTBALL ALWAYS PRETEND AS THOUGH NO COUNTRY IN AFRICA EVER REACHED THE SEMI FINALS OF THE WORLD CUP. THE NOISE ABOUT GHANA BEATING AMERICA, CHEC REPUBLIC & SERBIA AND ALL ABOUT FIFA RANKING IS VERY DECEPTIVE OF THE REAL PERFORMANCE OR ARCHIVEMENTS OF GHANA IN THE LAST TWO WORLD CUP.
FIRST OF ALL, CAMEROUN, SENEGAL, & MORROCO WERE THE FIRST AFRICAN COUNTRIES TO QUALIFIED TO THE WORLD CUP QUARTER FINALS WITH STERLING PERFOMANCES OF BEATING TOP EUROPEAN FOOTBALL NATIONS ON THE ROUTE TO DOING SO, CAMEROUN ALMOST GOT TO THE SEMI FINALS IF NOT FOR DUBIOUS PENALTY AWARDED ENGLAND, SENEGAL BEAT FRANCE ON THEIR FIRST ATTEMPT AND EVEN REACHED THE QUARTER FINALS, NIGERIA THOUGH NEVER GOT TO QUARTER FINAL BUT STUNNINGLY DEFEATED SPAIN ON THE WORLD STAGE AND THE QUEEN OF SPAIN OPENLY WEPT IN THE CROUD.
GHANA HAS NEVER BEATEN ANY TOP EUROPEAN FOOTBALL NATION IN ANY COMPETITIVE GAME SO WHAT IS THE FUSS ABOUT USA, CHEC REPUBLIC ETC THAT THE BLACK STARS HAVE MADE SO MUCH NOISE ABOUT, JUST AN ATTEMPT TO SEEK SELF RECOGNITION WHEN BLACK STARS STRUGGLE TO EVEN GET TO QUARTER FINALS OF AN AFRICAN FOOTBALL COMPETITIONS. LET GHANA MEASURE ITS REAL FOOTBALL STRENGHT NOT BY BEATING TIRED AGELESS EGYPTIANS NATIONAL TEAM BUT BY WHY CAPE VERDE, BURKINA FASO, MALI & ZAMBIA MESMERISES AND DISGRACES THE BLACK STARS ON ANY BIG STAGE. YET THE BIG MOUTH JOURNALISTS ALWAYS TRY TO TWIST HISTORY IN AN ATTEMPT TO PLEASE THEIR READERS. ENOUGH OF THESE EMPTY SELF PRAISE WHICH IS CREATING LAUGHTER IN OTHER AFRICAN COUNTRIES. BIG UP TO CHIPOLOPOLO.
