When you are moved as Attorney General to become Foreign Minister; you have effectively been demoted. You are deemed unfit to occupy the chair as the foremost legal brains in the administration.

I admit to not know Nana Akufo-Addo personally neither have ever met him or spoke to him. So while I accept what has been written in this posting at face value, I question Nana Akufo-Addo’s moral courage. I do so not because the current president is better than Nana Akufo-Addo or for that matter anyone of our past presidents but because it will take a person with moral courage to replace the sitting president; voters do not replace a sitting president with another of same qualities.
Ghana needs a leader with moral courage and while Mahama may not have exhibited this trait Nana Akufo-Addo had the opportunity and passed on it. Kudos to Nana's refusal to accept some of the gratuities offered him as a member of parliament and or as a minister in the Kufour administration but what stands out to me is his acquiescence to Kufour during Kufour administration give away of national lands to cronies and party loyalists. Nana had been Ghana's AG who knew and understood, at the very least, appearance of impropriety yet chose not to expose Kufour for engaging in land giveaways until it was too late. The Ghana Supreme Court recently concurred with the purchases of government land and bungalow by Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey because Jake, like the CJ, Ms Georgina Woods took possession of national lands without public sale notices and or parliamentary approval. It is moral courage when one shows their love of or for nation and not for party.

Nana Akufo Addo was the Attorney General when 41 Ghanaians were murdered in Gambia. What did he do to get compensation for them? Is this compassion? Don't forget the man he murdered in his law offices.
Nana Akufo Addo during 2008 campaign when he was asked about his fitness asked the questioneer to ask his girlfriends about his strength/stamina. This is a man who has a wedded wife!!!
When we write or talk we MUST of necessity say the truth. That is the only thing that will save and redeem us.
