Prof, do not believe PC Appiah for blaming Kufour for the defeat of Nana Akufo-Addo in 2008. If you read Ghanaweb of January 1, 2009, it was clear that when Nana Akufo-Addo and NPP realised that Mathematically he could not win Tain, they tried to stop the Tain run-off through the court but failed. They then attempted to boycott the run-off. Meanwhile Mills and NDC were in Tain moving from house to house. Even a day to the Tain run-off, President Kufour went to the region in the company of Nana Akufo-Addo and Alan Kyeremanteng (see "President Kufuor calls for restraint", Ghanaweb, January 1, 2009).

I never knew "Yen Akyemfoo" and "Wommo Asantefoo". I thought it's "Yen Akanfuo". Interesting.

You see, people are a lot more wiser now. Most people are now voting based on the MPs track record. He (Kufuor) was therefore aware before the announcement of the position as minister for local government ( The most sensitive ministry).
