Waste Management should be regionalized.
All the 10 regions should have their version of waste disposal companies. Decentralized waste management grassroots regimes would be more effective than topdown regimes ran centrally.

who actually has monopoly on waste management in Ghana? Government? Huh, thought a system that is inherently not centralized cannot be ""decentralized". And what kind of waste management are you talking about ? Huh , private companies are much capable of running waste facilities successfully than governments.

Fadwene, thank you for giving me the opportunity to explain what I mean.
Each of the ten regions will have their own waste management, making our waste management decentralized. And within each regional waste management - for example, Brong-Ahafo Region Waste Management (BARWM) will organize & see to the disposal of waste only from the Brong-Ahafo Region; this would allow different companies from the region to specialize in the collection and disposal of the waste with the greatest comparative advantage, i.e. that will give the companies the most money.

May I suggest this pilot program to be institute at the Dodowa and Adenta road by the toll station. Between the hours of 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. all the traders at the location should get together and clean all the trash or collect a fee from each trader to employ a maintenance personnel to keep the area clean, any one found discarding trash not in a trash bin not be allowed to work in the area, even the police personnel and the toll booth personnel in the area.
