I have never met you nor read anything that you have posted but you seemed to be a smart person judging from your comments. For that reason I would have expected you to do a lot better than you just did.

Ahoofe might be all that but nowhere in his article did he insult anyone. And even if he did, in a sense, why lower yourself to that standard? I think you could have handled this lot better.

Dr. Nkrumah’s vision was for the whole Africa and the whole world (black Man). That is why most African-Americans during him time adopted Ghana as their home. Mandela’s journey outside South Africa was to Lagos, Accra, Algiers and Dar es Salem. Nkrumah was not imprisoned for 27 year for his course but was overthrown, and died for the same course as Mandela.
My dear tell me what was Madiba’s vision or agenda for the Black race? Show me at least one.
He got the cancer from the Britain and American insighted assassination attack at Kolongugu. Ghanaians with their deep divisions on tribal line which was fanned politically by Anglo-America Empire makes the Twi speaking Ghanaians envious of Dr. Nkrumah and makes Ghanaians not to celebrate him “Akoko besa den ennye Akroma fe da” The spiritual truth is that UGCC/NPP has stayed as and still an oppositions party due to this British-American tribally fuelled sentiments in them. They will never prosper until that is stopped.
Dr. Nkrumah’s period was a period of two factions in the world politics that fueled the COLD WAR between USSR and Anglo-America. It is even known that during the initial stages of the South African struggle, Mandela believed in ideals of socialism thus their alliance with the South African Communist Party. Most of these Asian countries started with socialism so they have developed an inherent discipline that makes them to see corruption as curse: now that they are in democracy, the discipline is in them already for national development. Ghana’s story was not like that. Nkrumah started with democracy in Ghana but due to the secret agendas of the Anglo-America Empire not wanting Africans to prosper as united front, he switched to socialism which was to instill discipline in us. We didn’t allow it to create our own African personality and identity hence our present state of corruption that has killed us.
Dr. Nkrumah did it all for Ghana and united us: look at how sweet Ghanaians blended sweetly with the latter added Volta Region. Think of about 62 well built industries, education, and economy, count it. He warned us not to allow the military to rule for they are there to defend. The Whites came to loot Ghana not to build. But infrastructure, economy, and everything in SA are superb, the Whites built them.
While Dr. Nkrumah thought and planned for the future that will solve Africans’ problems once and for all, Madiba planned for South Africans only. Was He not receiving foreign dignitaries while South Africans were killing other African Nationals in SA? Thanks to President Thabo Mbeki, Bishop Tutu and the President Jacob Zuma. Tell me one thing or statement that Madiba did or said that include the whole continent.
Look at the numerous other African Nationals in Ghana during Dr Nkrumah’s time. One Nigerian old lady told me some time ago: “How is Busia? Eh Busia made us to vote for him and chased us out afterwards. God bless him for his wickedness” Is this a good talk?
Well Madiba united South Africans and sort reconciliation for them which was good leadership. Madiba's legacy is the South African Xenophobic sentiments and their ministers bullying other African leaders at AU conferences. The legacy is their undermining Malawian roads. Nkrumah united blacks throughout the world that led to the present peace Ghana is enjoying. Mandela’s legacy is cancelling death sentence leading to rampant criminal activities with foreign nationals being the target. My brother read to become intellectual being a professor etc does not make you an intellectual rather it is based on your ability to think critically.
Dr. Nkrumah still relied on the White man for the professionals that he does not have for the nation building while to Mandela’s South Africa, things of the white man is abusive meanwhile they don’t have the professionals. Youth must read and become intellectuals.

Ahoofe,whether you like it or not Kwame Nkrumah was declared the greatest African who lived within the past 1,000 years in a BBC poll in December 1999 when Mandela was alive.The opinion of the misinformed American President Barrack Obama,who was only four and half years old when Nkrumah was overthrown,and his ignorant Speech writer cannot trump that BBC poll.

If you are really living in America kindly go out tomorow and ask anybody white or black if they know Dr. J. B. Danquah? I promise you, you will not get even one person saying he or she knows J. B. Danquah. But try asking any Tom, Dick, Harry and Nancy and the reponse will blow your mind.Nana Akufo Addo should be wary of people like you who are doing a lot of political damage to his(Akufo Addo) presidential ambition. Argue like the academic you claim to be.You flaunting your academic credential is what makes a person an intellectual?
