dicey article and nice combination of words. well in 1982 kwame simpson was transfered from a centre back to left back and that got ghana defence solid. and sampson lamptey was made to push the midfied even as a defender and that really helped albert asaase and abedi pele and our midfield was superb. the likes of inkoom and afful honestly will be toppled over by Ronaldo with pace and power. my suggestion is to transform either jerry akaminko or rashid sumaila into left half back or right half backs. they are strong have pace and a bit taller for aerial balls. this is not african cup but world cup. this can be experimented when ghana play friendlies to acess rasheed and akaminko at those positions. yahya mohammed honestly can combine more effectively at the midfield with essien or frimpong but kwesi is not looking yahya's way. we need "pitbulls" minded midfielders capable of neutralizing the opposing attack and a trio of yahya, essien and frimpong can gel to achieve this. yahya can fire from all angles and its a bit too late now to call him, but we are in die need for somebody who is a midfield enforcer like yayha. he is strong, have pace, strength, good in the air and good on set pieces. honestly he deserves a look and kwesi appiah cannot close shut his eyes and mind on yahya mohammed, we will need him, imoro abubakar equally deserve a look. yes they are local players but these guys are the two towers behind kotoko and hearts. i have said my own and thats my mind thank you.
