What saddens me in this party is that people just take delight in freedom of speech and give ammunition to opponents. People who know they stand no chance of winning the flagbearership and should know better to throw their weight behind the most popular candidate who they know very well rather come out to make disparaging statements against him. How on earth Dr Apraku, or Wireko Brobbey or Arthur can think any of their good selves can win party nomination and go ahead to garner even one million presidential votes against the NDC beats any critical reasoning, sad to say. As for Allan K, if I were him I will shelve my ambitions because this battle is not for the feint hearted like him. You need a special personality to be able to fight with NDC not the kind of personality than can dine with them! You know why from Atta Mills to now NDC like Allan Cash so much? they see him as a non-starter; no match for them and is true. We all know it including you the reader. Let us rally behind the most popular candidate as brought out by the grassroots, you need not be told; you can see for yourself. Please let us move this party forward and submerge our individual inordinate ambitions. Freedom for freedom sake? This is not the time. It is rather disruptive at the moment. Blessings for 2014. Must Akuffo Addo be imposed on NPP when he stands no chance of winning the Presidency in a general election? That history professor (Professor Adu Boahene or so-I have forgotten his name momentarily) who was given the flagbearership and lost the election to Rawlings didn't insist on leading the party in another election but gave the chance to another candidate who eventually won on a second try. The NPP is not a personality cult party, and anyone who stands the chance of winning a general election should be given the chance. The tribalism and the factionalism nonsense have to stop. I was in Ghana in January 2013, and the taxi driver, who was an Akyem guy, I hired to take me home from the airport was complaining about the amount of votes Akuffo Addo received in Ashanti Region wasn't as massive as the 2008 elections, as if voting patterns must remain the same for different candidates. People have to understand that not all voters vote on Party names; the person standing for the election counts too. The earlier the NPP does away with the stupid factionalism and tribalism, the better it will be for them to regain power and move the country's development forward. Ghana cannot afford the clueless, corrupt, and incompetent NDC Government any longer.

What people should remember and understand is that, NPP is the only Traditional Party in Ghana, unlike the NDC that came through the barrel of the GUN and instilled DICTATORSHIP in the country for nearly TWELVE YEARS to brainwash the people with Murderer Rawlings' slogans without elections.

My entire families had been Mate MeHo, including my late uncle B.J, da Rocha who orchastrated the formation of the NPP.

I happened to be the Campaign Manager for the late Busia's Progressive Party in Tarkwa back in 1969, when working for the Goldfields.

Most members of my Families suffered humiliations and brutalities from the late Dictator Kwame Nkrumah, a man who suceeded in establishing Dctatorship at Home and Terrorism Abroad.

I know Daniel Lamptey VERY WELL. Unfortunately, I missed the very article in question which has culminated my comments. Nevertheless, I shall be calling him on the phone after finishing this piece.

However, I have read the Article from B.A. Daniel who obviously appears to be a staunch member of Dr. Apraku.

Our late Dr.J.B.Danquah and the rest of our Party Thinkers till today had always championed DEMOCRACY as the only form of government which has also been ENDORSED by the Western Nations.

Dr. Apraku has every right to put his name forward as a candidate for the next Election, same as everyone else.

In 2004,I took a break to go to Ghana and participated in the Campaign. In fact, I was actually Financing most part of the Campaign Activities in Cape Coast.

I therefore happened to know that our former President, Kufour was clandestinely promoting Alan Kyremeteng in favour of Nana Akufo Addo.

During the Presidential Primaries for the 2008 Elections, I read from Dr. Apraku that he had been encouraged by couple of his colleague lecturers at the US University to try and become a President of Ghana.

He did put his name forward, same as Alan Kyeremateng. Iknew from very onset that they both would NEVER SUCCEED.

In the 2008 elections, I must say that most of us were very complacent. Thinking we had it in the bag. I left Ghana in early 2006 after my mother's burial.

Nana Akufo Addo took the wisest decision to try and incorporate almost all the failed candidates into his campaign. The most "stubborn" one, I must say was Alan Cash, who thought he desrved the slot of the Flagbearership.

The fact of the matter is Alan could NOT even run his own portfolio properly as a PSI(Presidential Special Initiative).

I must agree that KUFOUR did send us into opposition in 2008 for his support for Alan Cash. It was also the same Kufour who originally appointed Alan Cash to our Mission in US.

Dr. Wireko Brobbey was a making of KUFOUR, I don't know the origins of Dr. Arthur Kennedy but all these people should realise that NPP is far bigger than them.

The only well and truly marketable person to be our FLAGBEARER IS NANA ADDO DANKWA AKUFO ADDO. And I would urge him to take "Nana" BAWUMIA as his RUNNING MATE.

I shall be going back home at least a YEAR AND A HALF BEFORE THE NEXT ELECTIONS, and if we don't CAPTURE THE WHOLE OF THE CENTRAL REGION (or most Part)then you can hack me to DEATH!!!!

My reason for such disagreement is that, back in 2014, I had told my Cape Coasters through the Media that they should seriously consider boycotting the then forthcoming "Afahye Festival" since it was NOT serving any purpose for them, except the Chief Nana Kwesi Atta and some handful of his sub-chiefs who normally embark on solicitations of Funds for themselves.

That time they had come to knock on my door for Funds for that purpose and I used that opportunity to deliver some unprintable message for them.

They then summoned me to their Palace which was owned by my Great Grandfather which the late Atta MIlls had given to the Chief Kwesi Atta who had then been installed by Murderer Rawlings, thus defying Traditions.

I was sent a Video of that whereby Water Cannons had been used by Murderer Rawlings' Army on the people who had displayed their anger.

I have enough evidence of Kwesi Atta going to both UK and US as a private citizen and NOT accounting for pecuniary gifts given to him to improve Cape Coast and her environs.

Please have you ever encountered the Otumfuo Asantehene ever displaying such SELFISH DEEDS??

The same year of 2014, I happened to be in the office of Hon. J.H.Mensah(Former Finance Minister)in Accra, where I heard a very serious beating of Traditional Drums. I found out later that they were people from the Volta Region who had gone to the Ministry to negotiate for Developmental Projects for their area.

With all that going on, Kwesi Atta was SNORING AT HIS DANSOMAN HOME. So much for a Diabolical and a Sitting Bull of a Chartered Accountant Chief.

The meeting at the socalled Palace at Cape Coast was attended by almost every Radio Station and some Print Media Houses from the Central Region.

It was just myself and an invited Uncle that I had taken along with me, and I made sure NOT a single Chief there could open my Arse with one Finger(excuse my french).

Couple of months later, I was on the NPP Campaign Trail with all the Big Shots, including the former President Kufour, at major places of Cape Coast and later myself, the Candidate and the Executives. We still WON CAPE COAST AND THE REST OF THE CENTRAL REGION with all my abuses and insults on KWESI ATTA!!

Mr Baffour Agyemang, Traditionally, Chiefs(from Cape Coast perspective) are Installed from MY HOME. Not by Military or Politicians.

The fact of the matter is the previous Chief, Nana Mbrah, was only educated from home and was NOT astute as this Sitting-Bull Kwesi Atta. Hence the annoyance of the subjects.

He wants a new Palace and I have asked him to justify whether he fails to dream at where he is now to the people and further what he has achieved for Cape Coasters to warrant that.

Honestly speaking, if I had stiil been in Ghana prior to the 2008 Elections, NDC would never had had a DOGSHOW in the Central Region.

I am also very much aware that Nana Akufo Addo gave a Brand New Bus to the Chiefs of Cape Coast. They said, "Thank You Very Much, Nana".

A week or so later, ATTA MILLS(MYTHS)went to campaign at Cape Coast and the Chief KWESI ATTA, described the late Mills as " A TRUE SON OF CAPE COAST THAT THE PEOPLE SHOULD VOTE FOR".

Now, do you still blame P.C. Appiah Ofori for his comments??? The Chief is an IDIOT. And there is no question about that!!!

NPP may have lost Cape Coast-or the Election in General-due to complacency or lack of logistics and vigilance. However, the recent Supreme Court Decision which is most unwelcome, to say the least, has been the eye-opener for the Party.

I am an Old Boy and have served notice to both New Zealand and Australia(countries that have been so kind to me) of my intentions to Retire with some of my Families, to the country of my Birth where I intend dedicating the last shred of blood in me for their Development.

NPP was founded on democratic principles so every member or leader of the party who wants to contest for the flag-bearer slot has the right, so far as he/she meets party requirements, to file for their nomination at the party's headquarters. It's a very simple and laid-out policy; there's no need to use the airwaves or the media to rubbish another aspirant. These are some of the reasons that we seem not to get our dreams. So typical of this write up, the author should immediately retract this article and rather write on topics that'll foster peace among our ranks. That's the way forward. It's time to unite more than ever and strategize for 2016. It's plain and simple!

What is good leadership when he keeps appointing thieves and non performers like Apraku. First as a campaign manager who stole money and later in charge of security and did not guard the ballot boxes.
Who knows what Nana will do again when asked to go again. His bad sense of Judgement will prevail. Thanks to mr. Danquah we don't need Nana Akufo Addo at 72. We have had enough of his bad judgement that let to Apraku s appointments. His speech after the court case brought him some respect but that cannot translate into votes so he needs to preserve that dignity for his pension.

However, your comments do have logical senses both ethnicity and politics, from Ghanaian perspectives.

Much as perhaps my good friend Daniel Lamptey may have erred or mis-interpreted in his Article- what we must try and refrain from is THE AGE MENTION.

We have recently been urged by the International Fora to encourage the YOUTH of today to come into the limelight as New Crop Of Leadership.

However, Egya Kofi Inkoom, would you personally endorse the sort of Youthful Leadership who are hell bent on Creating, Looting and Sharing our Resources at the vast expense of the POOR???

Please be reminded that most of these people had NEVER entered into the workforce, neither had they paid a SINGLE TAX IN THEIR LIVES, so that being ushered into an environment whereby they could easily see MONEY and have them manipulated for their benefits, would you still rate them ahead of the Experienced Politicians, the like of Nana Akufo Addo,etc???

We have to make sure we dont cut our noses just to spice or face, otherwise you know what the end result may be.

I ma NOT too far from Nana Akufo Addo's Age, but I promise you we all have our brain marbles and wits intact.

There are so many examples I can give you, but please if you felt Nana shouldn't have appointed such people like Dr. Apraku in his camp as a Flagbearer, don't be surprised if that dose is still repeated for the unity of the Party.

As reiterated earlier, I NEVER read my mate Daniel Lamptey's Article, but did talk with him on the phone yesterday to wish each other a Happy New Year. then had a chat for a while.

So please Egya Kofi Inkoom, let's remember the old adage that "the older we get, the more wiser we become". But unfortunately this dimension of both the younger and the old agenda doesn't provide the YOUTH of any future HOPE, given the constant CREATE, LOOT AND SHARE Enterprise that is widening the gap between the Poor and the Minority Rich.

Furthermore, has the youthful exuberance of THIEF MAHAMA as A PRESIDENT impressed the Ghanians, especially the YOUTHS???
