Do you not know that "over-clever" is the accepted usage, especially when compounding of words is done to give as an adjective of this sort?

And do you not know that the word "overly" is adverbial and that in English, such a word cannot be compounded with an adjective to give us a compound adjective?

You see, you boast for nothing!!

Adverbs ending in "ly" cannot be hyphenated with any other word. Know it for once and leave Kufuor's right expression as it is!!!

How the hell will a whole "English teacher" not understand this metaphor? He needed to consult dictionaries to understand this? I pity his students at Nassau Community College.

I have been around in my head what is wrong with using overly-clever and cannot help but conclude that to say somebody is over-clever is similar to saying somebody is over qualified. I may be wrong, I stand corrected, but overly-clever connotes different meaning. It comes across as an adverb trying hard to be an adjective. Was is it even required? Big no.

Like the NPP under Kuffour and Nana Addo Dankwah who all received golden chains as having accomplished something under the corrupt regime of Kuffour!! A disgrace!! The day the NPP will throw a challenge to the NDC that they did not do corrupt activities under the Kuffour regime, should a meticulkous job be done in the media, NPP will then never ever stand again or resonate!!! As if Kuffour forgot that after him, someone from the NPP one day can also win power!! He seemed to have blocked the chances of anyone who even can be a good leader.
Okoampa is deceiving himself that he writes Good English!! What we know for him is a good lecturer in a Community school who likes to insult others!!! Ghana will punish such pomposities as well!!! I never heard from Shakespeare bragging for a thing such as we see on Ghana forums where someone close to the lilliputian will insult anyone with careless abandon!!

President Kufour may not be the most eloquent and intelligent but he doesn't need interpreters whenever and wherever he speaks English.

If Blood is really thicker than water then we should be watching okoampa!! As he is "over-clever" and in fact the cleverest Ghanaian in creative story telling or writing "big words" as he often copies from the First Aid in English or Old time Students Companion!! I believe he cleared 1 in English as his "bloated vocabulary" will not make it difficult to get those fanciful words, especially 3 letter words which are very elusive.
But my problem is how a native speaker here marked down the African-Community High school English professor!! He has a problem too with the lexis and structure and the morphological and monotonous one style leaning language that finds itself among tautological expressions are what we Ghanaians are going to aceept here!! The appalling English that Okoampa writes to bamboozle his way so as to register him among intellectuals has been run down by a professor here. It is admitted that the kind of English Okoampa writes is sometimes blending coloquial language and written on!! So he confuses himself!!! Furthermore after writing such confused and tautological sentences, he puts "big" word there or at a place to hide the deficiency of the sentence!! Among native pals or collegues, they may identify the weaknesses Okoampa has and later on, whites being what they are will laugh and scorn Okoampa!! The tribalistic tendencies and bigotry he has exhibited all these years has aggravated the chances of his cousin, the Lilliputian from ever winning any elections in Ghana!!!If a child insults the opponent of his father, the opponent will think the child was sent by his dad to insult him and get away with it!!! The case in point is that okoampa is never sensitive to these normal interactions and traditional ways of doing things!! Okoampa is no child and so whenever he insults any of the Lilliputian's opponents, siuch as the more attractive guys who can really win power to the NPP but are being bastardised, how will they not think Akuffo Addo sent him!! How dare Okoampah to be insulting Alan Kyeremanteng?? Someone who nearly won the WTO post!! In fact, some people say Alan Kyeremanteng nearly gave his birth right by accepting that he and Nana Akuffo don't run the elections the second time during the NPP 2007 Flagberearship. What it means is that when it came to Alan Kyeremanteng's time, the old lilliputian will not give way until he Nana's b ones are rotten!! Should the NPP throw this chance away, they should look at themselves and blame each other for not been bold to do the right thing. NPP wake up!! Only vote for those winnable candidates, else you going to revisit the 2008 and 2012 disaster as before!! A word to the wise is enough!!
