The caliber of most of the current leaders in the NPP such as Okoampa do not believe in democracy and freedom. They are pseudo communist and dictators. I have said it time and time again that if they (the NPP) had the power that Rawlings and Nkrumah had they would have done worse than them combined.

They hate comeptition and as usual when the going gets tough they will quickly turn to tribalism. Its been their way since the time of Nkrumah. Most peace loving Ghanaians need to be careful of such people portraying themselves as politicians when infact they are nothing but trouble rousers who would turn to tribalism any day and time.

They are very quick to blame others for tribalism yet those do not write nor publish these types of nation wrecking articles for the world to read. Infact some of those in the NPP are beyond demon possessed when it comes to hate. They are dangerous, pure and simple.

Good Ghanaians, you need to circulate these types of articles for the youth in Ghana to read and realize the type of evil the NPP is capable of bringing into Ghana knowing exactly what tribalism had done to other nations on the continent.

The NDC may be clueless but far better than the NPP because the NPP is capable of bringing chaos into society. May be we need to start paying attention to a third party since the NDC is clueless and the NPP is pure evil and extrememly xenophobic and divisive.

All the same i do believe the fire of hate will consume the types of Okoampa long before it gets to all Ghanaians. God bless Ghana.

our so called fake president and his idiotic fools continue to display to the whole world their incompetence and stupidity. he goes running around looking for investors or money when all it takes is prudent and sound macroeconomic policy implementation. we shall list a few examples so its even clear to the sick warped minded ndc agent provocateurs here. we borrow billions to procure finished products or give the juiciest parts of contracts to foreigners instead of just taking a little effort and organize our economy better. instead of building modern 100 meter fishing boats for our fishermen , manufacturing our own tractors for our farmers , mining equipment and trucks for galamsay miners and so on . we choose to import 2 thirds of our fish requirement , hand over these gold and other mineral concessions to foreigners who dont invest in our economy , deny the farmers the over half a million tractors and other agric mechanization needed because are leaders are too selfish and lazy to take the well-being of our people to heart . instead of encouraging and facilitating the return of our diaspora so they give our ailing economy the boost and capital we can surely count on , we treat them dirt and frustrate them so much that most return . they would rather have Chinese , Arab/Muslim money as there they get a kickback. they can not understand the need to unite all potentials in order to attain development , industrialization and new 21st century jobs for OUR own people , rather prefer that we import everything and keep our people in poverty as in their wicked hearts saturated and drenched with hatred of the Akans , hegemony , tribalism , favoritism and material greed. the only consolation we have is that today our people now see very clearly what these political impostors are all about and are getting more and more determined to get rid of them either by war or a revolution. all the institutions of the state have failed us including the judiciary , parliament . they have secured a privileged status for themselves and deny the majority free education although its within our reach as a 20 pesewa levy on petrol would secure the funds for this in less than 6 months so its started now and not vaguely postponed to the indefinite future . how can these fools think we should sit aside and applaud their non action ? we live in this purgatory of despair and now they want to force down our throats gay sodomizing perverse morals as their ideal . each day they continue with this jolly ride of profound stupidity they earn our deeper resentment and hate of their actions . our day will come soon , long live the republic of Akan

True professors are always busy researching for publication in renouned journals so as to further their carriers.

Anything/anybody at all can write on ghanaweb. You don't need to be peer reviewed before publication. This is why I personally don't take frustrated "academics" who come here to stoke tribal tensions seriously. Ever since I have virtualy known this guy, he hasn't gone beyond his college teaching arena into a true university where research is mandatory to attain full tenure and progress beyond his instructorship. Somehow, I beleive his college was upgraded into a research institution like has happened in many north american colleges recently. The consequence of this is to always upgrade all the old guards to associate professorship en masse, however, with little to show for it. The opposite would have been to expel him and other lazy instructors like him.

What have we been seeing recently? The self glorified demi-god showering himself with the tile "asso prof" whenever and wherever he finds the opportunity to display it. Fast forward: So many years down the line and the man has not been able to go beyond the rank of asso prof...lol Most of my classmates (small boys & girls who finished high school in 1992) are full profs now in renouned american universities and Okoampa is still an asso prof...wow!

This man I beleive is blaming non-akans for his non-performance in america for this inertia...lmao What have we seen of this shameless self glorifier? Now he has even stopped using the title asso prof when he signs off. What a stark change to the days when he used to write all those 400 adowa stories against his name as his achievements. He is now uncomfortable that those who understand the workings in academia will start wondering why this guy has applied the brakes for this long. Therfore, to take all minds off, stop using academic ranks in order not to attracting attention.

Please, this guy is frustrated and has to blame someone for his woes. And where else to shift the blame ... your guess is as good as mine.

It's quite "easy"attaining a phd even when you a fool, as long as your family can push you up. However, when it comes to establishing yourself as an authority, you need some common sense that family connections can't buy; especially in a place like america. This is where Okoampa finds himself.

I wish him all the best though. It's not easy seeing your fellow man consumed with such level of frustration.

Well, Ahoofe let me ask you this simple question. Would you have called those electorate unelightened if they had voted for your party? Again, will you and your party be seeking their votes in 2016? And how are you going to plan and strategise your campaign message and tours?

On corruption, what have you been able to learn so far when Kennedy Agyapong accused his own party which you support of high corruption and stealing of the party's assets. But, you conviniently chose to hide that. A party in opposition behaving in such a reckless manner.

On discipline, it is very disappointing that of all the boasting that you are this and that and so on, your late parents lack the proper discipline and training they themselves needed to bring you up in a decent way. No wonder, with all the so called academic achievements you have acquired, you are still not at peace with yourself and rather see other people doing better than you as enemies.

Well, well, well, this one one takes it to another level even by Prof. Okoampa-Ahoofe's standards. Does this Prof. know that elections are a numbers game? His side historically has not won any CREDIBLE elections in Ghana except 2000 and 2004. Yes, check our political history. And he does not know why? This is exactly why. Side his may have the "best brains" and "best programmes" to implement, but what does that come to when that side is in opposition and shouting from the side-lines.

You must be in power to effectively effect change otherwise you just become a protest movement. Should Prof Okoampa-Ahoofe and his ilk continue on this path, his side will be in perpetual opposition.

My humble advice to fellow Ghanaweb contibutors - Please don't let us match the Prof. word to word. It is not worth it. Our nation is better than this. Let's leave him to play this silly games because politically it is not a winner. It does not lead to a meaningful national development.

Many a times, people don't judge Okoampah's articles by their merits because he seems to take an almost malicious delight in provoking rows by being aggressively hostile to some ethnic groups [Mainly, Non-Akans] with nasty, crude and hate-filled tone, rude and unpleasant name-calling and generalisations. A respected Academic will not use crude and offensive name-calling, combined with a few true statements with some very inappropriate and unfair generalisations to convey his message! The sadness in all this is that, he becomes a good advert for the NPP. Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP leadership should be very worried reading such stuff. Okoampah may not be one of the official mouthpieces of NPP but such name-calling is all down to interpretation by these Non-Akan ethnic groups and regions. You can't insult the very people and regions your party is trying hard to woo!

If Okoampah is a respected Academic, I don't think Ghanaweb will be the outlet for his abrasiveness. Okoampah's inability to grasp the principles of discipline, courtesy and reasonable respect expose him as a man with deep personal issues. And if Okoampah thinks he's downright pugnacious he could stand in the streets of Bolgatanga or Bawku and alleyways in Keta or Ho to shout out "Atinga" and "Trokosi" language. That would have been courageous and admirably brave! And I suspect he will come out of town grinning like a Cheshire cat!

Okoampa-Ahoofe's has launched verbal assault dehumanized some segments of the Ghanaian family. The enormity of this turpitude equals the verbal projectiles with which Rwanda Hutus seared the humanity of Tutsi's a precursor to the savagery onslaught of ethnic cleansing.

The issue here is not about free speech. The issue here is whether tax payers should continue to support someone who openly calls for ethnic cleansing. Nassau Community College of SUNY has as its mission non-discrimination. The faculty follows both the spirit and letter of the mission statement. Faculty must follow the spirit and principles of e the mission statement in their professional and personal lives. Prof Okoampa Ahoofe is in direct violation of the mission statement and policy of Nassau Community College of SUNY.

A case in point is tenured professor Ward Churchill of the Univ. of Colorado who disparaged those who died in the tragic Sept 11 2001 terrorist attack in an essay, "Some People Push Back: On the Justice of Roosting Chickens". Prof. Churchill was dismissed from the University for Cause. As the courts, state assembly, and university council of trustees held, tenure does not insulate from repercussions when bring the university's name into disrepute.

The right to free speech does not permit Prof Okoampa Ahoofe to demonize other Ghanaians. The right to free speech does not allow him to strip away their human dignity. It is legitimate to bring to the attention of Action President Kenneth Saunders and Executive Vice President whether Dr Okoampa Ahoofe views mirrors the mission statement of Nassau Community College of SUNY.
