Doc, I believe some Ghanaians either do not understand or pretending not to understand conflict of interest. President Mahama breached conflict of interest rule as far as E & P and the Merchant Bank loan is concerned by the mere attendance of the meeting with Merchant Bank to discuss the loan. Second, Attorney Lithur is breaching conflict of interest rule by acting for E & P regarding matters on the loan from Merchant Bank and at the same time acting as Attorney for Fortiz in the sale of Merchant Bank.

It may be true that President Mahama may not have direct financial or business interest in E & P. That may be true in some societies but unthinkable in Ghana because of the extended family interest.

As far as the future is concerned, you are right to say that, it is too early to write off Mahama's government. After all, he is just completed one year of a four-year term. 2014 and 2015 would be critical. In the same vein, NPP leadership has also got time to resolve their internal differences and come together as a party ready to lead the country but any talk of Ghanaians wanting NPP back because NDC has failed is premature.

Nyansasem, your New Year message to me is very encouraging and I am humbled by your kind words. Unfortunately, I have not posted any article since December 3 because Ghanaweb posted my articles very late in the day resulting in very few people reading and commenting on the issues raised therein. I decided to take a break from writing articles though I am tempted to analyse Mahama's one year in office as well as a post mortem of NPP 2012 election failure.

Happy New Year to you as well and all the best for 2014.

Records indicate that President Kufuor sound economic policies sustained and stabilized growth of the economy consistently from 2001 to 2008.

On the other hand, NDC/Mills/Kofi Dubai Mahama annual budgets have been suffering from knee jerks, lopsidedness, shocks and surprises arising from uncoordinated economic policies based on ad hocism, by heart, takashie single digit fixation.

Nothing is being sustained.

The Cedi is tumbling down.

The single digit inflation is a hoax.

The inconsistencies in the annual economic growth figures are clear:.

2012 (7.9%): :

2013 (7.4%):

2014 (8%) target

No serious investor will be happy to be part of this Takashie fiscal policies from Kofi Dubai mediocre administration and producing unreliable, roller -coaster. Zig-zagging economic indicators.

Ghana deserves better. Ghana can do better!!!!!.

How could an article about the performance of the President leads to castigating of NPP leadership? I don't get it. He has used every opportunity to denigrate Nana Addo and the "Akyem Mafia" - Ahoofe and Gabby- while refusing to condemn the rampant corruption going on under Mahama's administration. Where are his articles on GYEEDA, SADA, ISOFOTON, etc...?

Even Tarzan does not spend all his time attacking NPP. Tarzan has written against the leadership of AMA and others, but Arthur-K sees ONLY the problems in NPP and not in NDC and sometimes one wonders what planet he is on. We all are frustrated with Nana's sick ambition to become the President of the Nation at all cost. However, should every opportunity be used to castigate him while Mahama and his people keep on creating and cooking up corruption everywhere?

His latest antics of trying to "threaten" Nana and NPP that if Nana refused to speak about his plans to contest, he Arthur-K would go ahead and contest. Damn. Who cares whether Arthur-K contests the leadership of NPP or not. Is he kidding me? I thought he was wiser enough to find ways to defuse the crisis that is going on in NPP.

Don't get me wrong. I am grateful to Arthur-K and some of his friends in Aborokyie whose advice helped me to achieve ALL my goals. I was very young when I met them and that was why I had problem with those who came here insulting when he decided to contest the leadership of NPP. But I can see similarities in his behavior to that of Rawlings- Narcissistic personality disorder.

Arthur-K, you don't need to spend all your time finding faults with NPP. Currently, what the Nation needs is, a strong and vibrant opposition. The opposition should keep the feet of the government in the fire, instead of fighting among themselves. My fear is, by the time NPP come together to fight the NDC, every pesewa in the Nation's coffer had been looted by the Mahama, Lithur and the criminal bunch. That is why it is so important for this bickering.

But seek help. You see, Azar fought vigorously than you did for NPP and yet you hardly see him criticizing the leadership all the time. HKP also may not like what is going on but hardly do you see them trying to tear down the building they are trying to build. I believe you can learn more from your own friends- Azar and HKP.

That is what the NPP needs. Someone to face and destroy the Kennedys, Wereko Brobbys and Nyaho Tamaklos for ever. They do not seem to understand "group solidarity", once a decision has been taken after discussion!
