  I love this piece; a stark deviation from the very copious political articles posted on GhanaWeb day in day out! This is the sort of reading we desperately need to move the nation forward. Hopefully, other experts and technocrats in diverse disciplines in commerce, business, agriculture and technology would share their wealth of knowledge and experiences with readers and also come to the rescue of the growing unemployed with all the requisite know-how in defining their lives in dignity.
  
  More of business laden articles, less of the abrasive, negative and empty political talk and unproductive debates screaming the headings on GhanaWeb and other popular Ghanaian electronic media!

  Business plan is no doubt the most important document every business must have. In most developed economies it is impossible to raise finance from banks without it.
  
  Unfortunately, in Ghana it is very rare. The financial institutions must be partly blamed for they lend on collateral rather than viabiliity. When a business person goes to bank to borrow the first thing they ask is collateral. Therefore, potential viable businesses do not get support from the banks. The reason is that the banks do not have managers and business advisors with knowledge, experience and expertise to assess a viability or otherwise of a business plan
