I will be honest with you; no one is suggesting that this man was bad. The writer is simply saying these so called elites in our society you mentioned: the Annans, the Kuffours, Mahamas, Akuffo Addos concern themselves too much on trivial issues. Komla is not even the likes of Kwaku Baako, Kwasi Pratt ect. who have suffered a lot for the democracy of our country, so why these silly things like state burial and funds for children etc.?

I feel much ashamed that it took a courageous young baby, Adwoa Prempeh, to pour out such a hearty and scintillating 'dirge', same feeling that my chicken self have been harbouring on my mind for some years now but could not muster the dire courage to voice out for fear of persecution by my Kookoase folks and Trokosis as well( Northerners/ Muslims singled out of this time wasting trade). We choose to honor the dead more than the living. This is very reprehensible and hypocritical. I was so surprise that Trokosi Rawlings showed up at the funeral of Prof Mill, the very man he Rawlings hounded to death, even when the later was on his sick bed. " Mills could have live longer if he had listened to wise counseling " was a tribute from Rawlings to Mills. Fellow Ghanaians, Wake up to clarion calls of Adwoa Pee, the lioness of "Juda" for time is not on our side to redeem ourselves as human beings.

In the future, such an accomplishment might be the norm but we must give credit where credit is due. The writer of this piece could have made her point about greater issues concerning healthcare in Ghana without demeaning Komla's death and the mourning process.

There's nothing wrong about that so, let us grieve. Komla was my year mate at Legon (1998 year group), and I also met him one on one basis again in Houston TX. I can tell you that he's an exceptional guy that you would have loved to spend time with if you have had that opportunity. He's is so caring and always ready to lend a helping hand. Above all, he's among the few of us who despise corruption and was fighting it on daily basis. It's shocking he's gone too soon!
I didn't know your group but now I do, and we are advocating similar message here in the US.
However, I really appreciate you "hitting them hard" on their ineffective leadership. Now that I know your group, I promise to look for you guys whenever I come to Ghana, trust me! Keep up the good work, ok?. Long live Ghana, long live the youth who are the future of Ghana. Thanks.
