  You have fought relentlessly for the African people and your case is well articulated. The solution has to be won one individual at a time; one family at a time. But we don't own the economies in which we operate, not even the ones on the African continent, so how do we change that?

  First the dislocation and then the disorientation and then the conditioning.Unless we free ourselves from these fetters and recognize that this a fight for us and that we need a strategy of own to combat them, and sing from the same hymn sheet, the fight will be ardours and the circumstances will continue to frustrate us.

  Reading or listening to Dr. Asante always lights up the hope of my inner being that Africa, its people and culture will germinate and be the lightening rod of the world again. The fact that we have such high profile scholars like Asante burning such a passion for Africa and its people is a positive promise of the survival and a blissful thriving of our existence as people. In a response to the question of 'where do we start', I think the answer lies in the knowledge of ourselves which has been hidden from us.
