  Our political independence came about almost on a silver platter. The next phase that is economic and mental paradigm spear headed by Zimbabwe, will be very hard for Ghana to overcome in a very long years to come.
  
  There are lot of things we do not fully understand and why they should be changed.
  
  A man visited your town for the very first time and asked you to show him in which direction the river in which you and your people has been fishing for thousands of years flow, you obliged took him in your boat, and after seeing the river for the very first time, he returned with a book to teach your kids, and in that book, he claimed he is the first to discover the river, and your kids have to waste precious time to memorize that lie for a text to determine whether they're smart to make it to the next level or not. What a fraud?
  This is one example why Robert Mugabe is changing the name Victoria Falls back to its former local name and all other Rhodesian/ English names.
  To me, this the beginning of wisdom.
  
  Now back to Ghana, do we have the Nkrumah of the 21st century to get us the economical and mental independence?
  Do we have the conscience to change the names of towns and cities like Cape Coast, James Town, Ridge and many more of colonial relics?

  Liberating his people from oppression and suppression from illegal white settlers on Mandelas' own nativeland AZANIA,which is still called South Africa,and allowing the same WHITE oppressors to maintain the status quo is what Mandela called RECONCILIATION? Several years afer the so called liberation,opprtunities for advancement are still very limited to native South Africans.They live in ghettos with poor sanitation,they lack education,employment,healthcare etc.What a sharp contrast between Mandela and the radical,transformational and visionary Kwame Nkrumah,the greatest African of all time.

  The native Africans are now telling their own history of S Africa. They mostly recognize that most of their original leadership had been corrupted by western education and Christianity and had made them docile with no heart for the fight.
  
  This resulted in the formation of new parties, like the SANNC, which were largely modelled on the American civil rights movement with the political independence cause playing a secondary role. These civil rights movements were mainly concerned with improving the human rights of followers. The aim was not to replace the form of government. Their major political demand was for reforms and a more inclusive government.
  
  But as we know now there had been a massive sell out by the African leadership with western education which calls for reforms. One would have thought that with their education they will understand the intricacies being weaved by the colonial masters but unfortunately that is not the case. Instead western education had sadly colonized the mentality of some of the leadership and even the reforms which formed the basis of their initial struggle seemed to be abandoned. The sum total is what we find today in S Africa. They have their political freedom but with the status quo or even worse,
