Hang in there, even when hunted by the hound-dogs, of whom I occasionally join. Lol!! The opposing views, however acidic, help keep our Democracy alive. But don't hesitate to look within for errors to call for their correction, too.

I would like to hear your views on the current canibalization going on within the NPP. I might have missed your earlier input on that.

Btw, I happened to be in your neighborhood in Ghana recently, while on my return there after a long while. I gathered from my observations that the preponderant Youthful population there could use much of business infrastructure to pump their exuberance into our Economy.

People were always up and ready to go but little resources were available for them and that could be very frustrating. Yet, these ambitious young folks kept pushing on inspiringly.

That is what breaks my heart to learn about the GYEEDA rot. These hardworking folks are cheated out of their life opportunities by a few looters who deserve to be stripped of all assets to repay at least part of what they stole and go to jail for their crimes, too.

However. We ought to focus on channeling more private investment there to these enterprising youths. The Banks must end to them easily, too. Right now, only a few have access to credit even at the exorbitant rates of interests.

The Forests are decimated and/or overtaken by the Sahelian drift. So, Farming isn't attractive anymore but necessary for our survival. One thing that I was glad about the area was the relative absence of "Galamsey". People are not rushing to destroy the land for gold there, as much as in the Eastern and Western Regions.

Anyway, with a new, more dynamic and purposeful governance the area would hasten in Economic growth.

I visited family and friends spanning from Sunyani, through Offinso to Mampong and Nsuta on one leg of trip. There is hardly any space between towns along the way. Cities and Towns are fast fusing together and we must do more to learn how to live successfly in huge metropolitan areas.

Well, God bless! Take it easy. Let's debate, build consensus for progress and not live in fear or hopelessness. Differences in opinions are natural recipes for healthy Democracy. All we need to add is making our Laws work.

G.K, I know what you are talking about concerning towns now merging together especially in Ashanti region and Brong Ahafo. You travelled from Kumasi to Offinso and I know from Kejetia, Suame,Breman, Kronom, Afrancho, Buoho, my hometown to Kodie, all these towns have merged and you cannot even tell which town you are in when travelling on this road.

Ghana is expanding rapidly due to "Burgers" putting up residential buildings but not putting our resources together to build factories to employ the teeming unemployed in the country.

It's sad the government always look at taxing its way to balance the budget instead of cutting expenses like free housing and other benefits to balance the budget and taxing private Entrepreneurs out of business and rendering people out of jobs. I was in Ghana in December 2011 and the abject poverty of the people is really sad.

So, if you wish you could take back what you wrote, or would have done it a little differently, just muster the courage to withdraw it and most folks would accept your gesture.

There are a lot that we deserve to fume about but we must all learn to manage our responses well in order not to let others think evil of us. We need to show our anger sometimes, that is inevitable. But we have to think about how best to show it to leave room for constructive remedy to any bruised contacts.

I admire even your hint of admitting the possibility of having rubbed some the wrong way by the article. Yes, many times it takes the reaction of others we offend to make us realize our mistakes. We might not have intended to offend anyone. But if people feel offended by what we did, it is only fair that we say something to them to allay their suspicions of us. Therefore, don't let your failed attempt to be funny that some have taken an umbrage at crush your spirits. I believe you are not what the article might portray you to others to be. People must understand that frustration can lead anyone to regrettable situations.

Cheer up, bro. But if you could go further, muster the courage to offer an apology for how the article came out. Who among us does not have a dark moment in our lives? But that should not overshadow the better part of us.

I agree with your observation that houses and other structures have been thrown around without regard to proper town-planning requirements. Beautiful Streets that used to traverse the Towns in perfect straight lines now have their extensions abruptly end in people's garages, or courtyards. Natural leeways for drainage are blocked with unauthorized structures, causing floods when rain falls.

But more importantly, it is most disgusting to see our Roads totally unattended and filled with potholes that are yawning death-traps for pedestrians and vehicles. I nearly wept to see the state of the Road from Bantama to Asuoyeboa. Literally, on a day that it rained for only a few minutes, there were huge expanses of muddy ponds all along. Just around the entrance of Prempeh College was the worst of it all. Vehicles traveling in opposite directions could not know which lane to stay on. The whole area was one humongous bumpy, muddy mess of a traffic jam. Vehicles could not travel more than 5 mph in that section, and at some points did not know how to make way for on-coming ones. Meanwhile, some uncompleted overhead hanged precariously just alongside the almost impassable muddy road. Just who the heck was the Contractor to finish that construction I had no idea. But I faulted the Kumasi MCE for doing nothing to let things develop into that level of degradation. It seemed the Government did not care how the People would find their way to and from work in the City!

So, you we all in diaspora have to plan better to make direct impact on how things are done at home. And, yes, we have to either form partnerships or seek crowd funding to build factories to employ most of these talented and hardworking Youths. Our parents relied scantly on the Government for employment. And our Youths have it in them to be entrepreneurial, too. So, what is left is finding adequate funding to build our industrial bases for our development.
