It's idiotic to say Otumfuo is not a politician so he has to stay aloft and watch the so-called politicians!
The fact is that, all the leaders are fools who have no clue about governance! The chieftaincy shit in the country is outmoded and needs to be scrapped! It's a hinderance to development! How often do we see a chief helping in the development in his area? Try to purchase a plot from one of them and chances are that it has been sold to ten other individuals!
A typical example is the Otumfuo! He embezzled so much funds from his royalty to acquire millions of dollars worth of mansions in London and South Africa whilst his subjects wallow in abject poverty and filth back home! Couldn't those funds be used to purchase ultrasound equipment at KATH? He has so much influence that he can even stay in the filth in Kumasi and request a presidential jet ----and so be it! Dare comment on it, and he declares FATUA!

All the same, even if we upgrade our health centers to meet International standards, people with the financial abilitt will continue to seek health care outside the country.

Otumfuo despite being a King of the Asante tribe is not a politician and not resource from the public purse so he can seek medical care anywhere he want. It will be nice for him to contribute towards the upgrading of infrastructure facilities in Ghana particularly those in Ashanti region but the point is that, Komfo Anokye hospital and other health facilities are the responsibility of the Central government. We don't have federalism government in Ghana.

What baffles me is the hypocrisy of Kwame Okoampah Ahoofe. Where has he been? Akuffo Addo have been in London on holiday and health care attention for the past two months and he is a Politician so why is Okoampah not questioning Akuffo. Addo for seeking health care in London but questioning that of Asantehene? Is it because he and Akuffo Addo are from the Akyem tribe? Okoampah is a hypocrite.

Have you ever thought about other millions of Ghanaians who can't go to South Africa to get their medical attention? This year is 2014! Our leaders don't have to go to foreign countries for medical reasons(Remember Mills?) if we can address the urgent needs in these institutions that mean life or death in flip seconds.

Sometimes, Kwame's articles are not on the bad side of his thought. Sometimes he is right.

Note that Otumfuo is just a human being like you. He has done a lot for this nation, talk of his Educational Fund. Do you want him to refurbish KATH/Korle Bu and furnish them with ultra-modern equipment so he can seek medical attention at home? I know he has contributed a lot to KATH's development, but he can't do everything. He needs the support of Government and everyone including you, the PhD holder, who decided to leave his motherland for greener pastures in the US. I guess your village/town needs your help. Build them a clinic, school, library and supply them with computers so they can receive quality education to enable them become useful citizens to the society in future.
We're indeed tired of guys like you who run away from home because of harsh economic conditions and later turn round to blame our leaders for the woes of the society. Phd man, can you tell us the support that you have given to one community in your Akyem land to improve their lives.
You better come back from that miserable Community College, akin to Teacher Training College in Gh, and contribute to the development of your BELOVED country. Who cares about your PhD and your BIG English.

To even conceive the idea that, the Asantehene might have had any influence on the declaration of election result by the EC or the petition verdict by the SC,is diabolical to start with. It is only people who have immersed themselves very deeply in the sea of partisan politics or narrow-mindedness who can think like this.
Our elections are such that once results have been declared at the polling stations, anybody can parallel the role of the EC and compile the results for the entire country or the constituencies. It was as a result of this that the numerous mass media and other independent observers managed to compile their own results with some even calling the results for the winning candidate, President Mahama.It was not even possible for Afari Gyan the Electoral Commissioner to change the results from what the compilation of results from the polling centres would give.
Now let's come to the petition. if you know what it takes to become a justice of the SC, you will not even imagine that 9 of them could be bribed so easily. And to think that, this bribing came through the hands of the Asantehene is complete wickedness.
When the writer of this article said that, "If Otumfuo feels in his heart of hearts that he did absolutely nothing wrong to prejudice both the outcome of the 2012 presidential election and the Atuguba-presided Supreme Court decision handed down some seven protracted months later, in definitive resolution of the electoral impasse that ensued, then, of course, Nana Osei-Tutu II has naught to worry about", he has betrayed his naivety or lack of understanding. It is as vague as imagining that President Obama was probably the one who caused the tsunami in Indonesia because he is a very powerful leader. In fact any allegation without evidence is simply foolhardiness.
