Dont you think govt detractors can use this against him? Did u hear when some nude pictures of the prez was circulating on social media?
It is because of his activeness on social media.
It has come a time that state ministers use facebook to sack people from their job. I work in a small company in the diaspora, the use of social media is highly policed. You don't just go and discuss my company issues on facebook, there are people recruited for that.

In advanced countries, Social Media is policed and hardly would you see a Minister or MP staying on social Media to write nonsense. In Ghana, the President, his Ministers and deputies think it is a hip to be on social Media. And you even have the Foreign Minister making an urgent request to the Ghanaians in Egypt during the Arab Spring on her own Twitter. How stupid and idiotic can these people.
You and I know that we are not even allowed to open our own emails at work. And when using a phone or picking up a personal calls, you have to be reasonable and make sure it is a family (wife, parents and kids) call that last no longer than 5 mins. In Ghana, all their 4 or 5 phones could be ringing and they are busy picking them up. When the English Premier is on, no one works. And I don't even understand why they should allow TVs at government jobs.

Idiots, the MP was right. It is called, abuse of social media. The Nation should not pay Ministers and MP for them to sit on facebook during working hours. As a matter of fact, any Minister or MP found writing on his facebook and on FM Radio during working hours should be reprimanded.

we are all aware of the addictiveness of social media, once hooked it is utterly impossible to concentrate on productive ventures. the president was voted into power by the good people of Ghana to move the nation forward under the auspices of the so-called better Ghana agenda. in actual fact the president should be thinking about ways to help the masses out of their economic woes. facebook is indeed a social medium which seeks to link friends and families and to give them the opportunity to share pictures, events, and messages. how then is Ghana benefiting from the president's use of facebook. i think honourable Manu was right in appealing to the president to concentrate on more productive activities that will in the long run be to the benefit of all Ghanaians.
