When Nkrumah was fighting for unification the Asantes were fighting for their federation so up to date the Asantes do not have Ghana at heart they love Asanteman more than Ghana as a nation,if the going is not going by their way then they will never help that is how they were born and taught by their parents, come to abroad and see how they are, they always want to identify themselves as Asantes but not Ghanaians, they hate everything about Ghana, need i say more? is my prayer that one day the regions in Ghana will be nine regions without the Asantes maybe their Akyem brothers will join them.

Coming from a son of a late Ghanaian teacher, I agree with you that teachers are unsung heroes everywhere, yet I am unabashedly proud of our Black Stars. As far as exercise goes, we continue to have a deaf government. Our government does not hear any of what we say. For a country of people who are majority walkers for most of our activities, sidewalks are nonexistent. From building trend in Ghana today, it is easy to see that sidewalk will never be in the cards until it is more expensive to construct (i.e. we will have to buy easements and demolish buildings if we ever decide to construct sidewalks in the future rather than make constructing sidewalk a part of our current building construction requirements.) The government continues to invest more in roads (not much wrong with that considering the need) and not much in public transportation: that belongs to the private sector. What a government we have.
