  Okoampah, did you find out how an Ambassador for Ghana in USA and Kuffour crony formed E and O company to obtain 3.5% shares of the Ghana oil? Have questioned why the company collapsed after they sold the shares just about the 8 years of Kuffour's rule? How on earth can someone who is suppose to represent a country's interest turn around to seek his personal interest? Or Okoampah never saw that because it was NPP and not NDC. Does Okoampah see Kuffour's 8 years rule as better than Rawlings PNDC/NDC rule? No wonder Okoampah it is alleged that Okoampah is in exile in the US. I do not know the last time Okoampah came to Ghana hence, he would have known that Ghana was changed before Kuffour came to power and NPP cannot even compare their 8 years to only Mills' 3 1/2years of NDC rule. What did NPP do and what have the UP/NPP done for Ghana except destroying Ghana and stealing peoples properties through the Aliens Compliance Law during Busia's regime and stealing government properties during Kuffour's regime. Okoampah should know that his lies will always attract comments from honourable people not the stooges who always see everything UP/NPP as the truth. Okoampah who does not even know his root can write anything from his stomach. Useless liar.

  Would you be ready, Mr. Okoampa-Ahoofe, to come down to Ghana's Supreme Court from Nassau Community College to testify as you eloquently did in this article that the PPP's attempt to seek a Supreme Court interpretation of Article 38, section 2 of the Constitution, and the enforcement of Free SHS Policy, is just frivolous and does not have merit.

  The British, and US has not allowed itself to be ushered under the dictates of the UN at anytime in the numerous times in history on roads to economic solvency or independence. Why would a free nation Ghana willingly subjugate itself under the Kufour administration? What was the result of the road to economic recovery after the 8 years of Kufour administration? Was Ghana at zero national debts?
  What Dr. Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe has stooped to in his articles of discourse, historical rewrites and the arrogance of impugning the integrity of Ghanaians reminds me of the case in the State of Minnesota, USA under a Republican governor Tim Pawlenty. Here the governor of Minnesota, Tim Pawlenty and his party's majority in the state house enacted laws to hold off any payments to Minnesota schools until the state could balance its budget. During his 8 years in office the governor and his party dishonestly claimed to have cleaned the financial mess of the state even after leaving behind an IOU of unpaid money to schools. This is the brand of intellectual truths that Ghana's NPP also brings to bear here in Ghana. Ghana has never been away from underneath the eyes and thumb of its colonial masters thanks to a bunch of classroom educated fools who were to stupid during their stay and education in Western Europe and the Americas they did not understand those subject matters the specialized in and thus cannot apply them in Ghana or too intellectually dishonest and greedy they see fit to lie to the masses of under-educated and uneducated voters to gain power.
  So in this re-examination of the source(s) of the so-called free education mumbo jumbo does it really matter who said what at what time? Why did Kufour's NPP administration under which Nana Akufo-Addo served in various capacities not lay down the foundations for a free education system? Any half-way intelligent Ghanaian (no need for a post secondary education or classroom lessons from the Diaspora) must know that implementation of a well planned and tested system cannot come to fruition in a day or even one year. Why did Nana Akufo-Addo not see it fit to remind Kufour that our 1992 constitution called for a free education? Does it mean Nana Akufo-Addo saw some wisdom and or self satisfaction in denying Ghanaians the promise of free education until he, Nana Akufo-Addo assume the presidency of Ghana? This actually confirms the documented evidence of arrogance, elitism, egotistical and selfishness that the NPP had nurtured since the UGCC, GCP, NLM, UP era and it is not a badge of honor to wear by anyone with conscience let alone someone claiming to be an academician in good moral standing.

  An ‘enormous gulf’ has been exposed between the EU and the US through Europe’s reluctance to buy hormone meat or GM food from the US. Industry and labor groups voiced concern to EU and US negotiators that the globe’s biggest trade pact was under threat.
  “There is an enormous gulf between the EU and US positions,” said Michael Dolan, a lobbyist for the US Teamsters Union at the fourth round of trade talks between the EU and US in Brussels on Wednesday.
  The talks marked an unusual occasion, being the first time that lobbyists were received, and additionally marking the first time that the forum allowed reporters inside.
  Those involved in negotiating a pact have expressed a desire to finalize a deal before the end of the year. Eight months of talks have already passed. However, tensions which have underscored trade talks worldwide have been a drawback, and continued low public support for the deal has exacerbated tensions over food.
  Despite this, its supporters say the deal would lead to some $100 billion per year in growth on both sides, and the EU says that ‘Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership’ (TTIP) is under threat from protesters it deems ‘anti-globalization’.
  In 2012, the EU exported $16.6 billion in farm produce to the US, while US farmers delivered $9.9 billion to Europe. The gap was largely blamed on the EU ban on GM food imports.
  “Our trade could be way bigger,” Douglas Nelson, a CropLife America adviser told Reuters. “The TTIP is a way to normalize trade with the European Union.”
  However, EU Trade Commissioner Karel De Gucht frequently reasserts that there will be no changes to the EU regulation of GM food even if an agreement is reached with the US.
  The EU is also closed to US beef from cattle raised with growth hormones.
  On March 10, the UK’s Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) secretary, Owen Paterson, added his backing to an EU proposal that may prompt the fast-tracking of GM crops for commercial cultivation in the country.
  Greenpeace, Friends of the Earth, GM Freeze, the Soil Association and GeneWatch UK added their signatures to a letter to UK Prime Minister David Cameron condemning the plans.
  GeneWatch UK director, Helen Wallace, stated that Monsanto and other GM companies were “desperate to push their GM crops into other countries before the devastating impacts on wildlife and farming destroy existing markets,” according to local publication Farmers Weekly.

Moreover, NPP and other parties should rather be asking the question, how does a government that purports to spend 70% of its revenue on workers salaries find money to offer free education? Arguing over who came up with the idea doesn't do us any good.

  Focusing on SHS rather than on basic end of the education ladder is just like putting the cart in front of the horse.
  No doubt we have to provide quality education and the most sane place to start is at the primary level, not at the SHS level.
  We have to first fix our obsolete education system starting with pre-I/kindergarten, JSS, and then up to SHS. Any talk of free SHS, whether from NPP or NDC is a veritable sham, calculated to win votes.

A Committee of Experts was appointed by the PNDC to write the proposals for the 1992 constitution, and all was to be presented to the PNDC military dictatorship. An unelected military dictatorship conceived and facilitated the constitution process of 1992, from the PNDCL 282 Promulgation Decree through the PNDCL 253, and up to the referendum, in which 45% of 100% of registered voters voted yes [less than half]; rather than to remain under the PNDC guns. The indemnification of the NLC, SMC, NRC, AFRC, and PNDC, illegal overthrows of governments are all indemnified and can be entertained by courts of law in Ghana; all signed by Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings. An elected "Constituent Assembly" is not the same as an appointed "Consultative Assembly." The constitutional commission NLCD 102, Chaired by Edward Akuffo Addo, proposed the election of a "Constituent Assembly" to draft the 1969 Constitution; while maintaining the NLC dissolution and Disqualification NLCD 332 of the CPP during the process. The NLC said NO, and decreed NLCD 380, Constituent Assembly Amendment Decree, and then appointed an Assembly to Indemnify their treason and crimes, and to place the onto the Presidential Commission to "decide the functions of the President." It is clear the officers faction of the indigenous bourgeoisie is not prepared to share power constitutionally with the class of professionals and bureaucrats [Judges and lawyers]. The same is the case with the PNDC throughout the 1992 process. That is why it is signed by Rawling as Chairman of the PNDC. Don't pretend to be a democrat.
