I have said that Nkrumah was legitimately removed and I stand by that and will never change my mind. The 1966 coup was the only legitimate coup in our history because Nkrumah has usurped the democratic rights of the citizens by making himself the President for life and the only avenue that was left for him to be removed was through a military coup, that is a fact even if you live to be a million years you cannot refute.

I'm not defending Akoampa-Ahoofe (and don't want to be a devil's advocate),but what he stated in his article was true. I read it. Even the average Ghanaian on the street knew that sick Gambian leader can't be trusted especially after he killed several Ghanaians and Nigerians in Gambia. Ace Ghanaian journalist, Malik Kwaku Baako, warned this lady to reject the job. Common sense should dictate that you don't go to sleep with a mad tiger, despite several warnings, and later blame the mad tiger for having you as a snack when he runs out of snacks.
