It is the dumbest thing for any president to leave its citizens at home during a major celebration for the country for vacation elsewhere. That is the period you worship with your people and be seen as part of the community.
The sad part is they ask us to patronize Ghana and yet they send their kids abroad for education and travel abroad for medical visits etc. I wonder how much was spent by Mills for his numerous medical treatments abroad. Could some of the money have gone to the hospitals etc. at home? It is one thing using private money for vacations etc., but it is definitely corrupt if state funds are used.

Christmas carols. This seemed like the perfect gift. "How do I
get him to sing?" The young man asked, excitedly. "Simply hold a
lighted match directly under his feet." was the shop owner's

"Sheik Marktoum," Mahama says "My country is under deep economic problems and our Cedi is falling against the dollar, and we are running short of condoms. It's getting to be an emergency. Can you send over one million condoms?"

I think this criticism of President John Mahama's outlandishly costly foreign vacationing shouldn't be limited to him alone, but the entire political leadership of the country. Yes, our President and political leaders deserve their holidays but where the ordinary Ghanaian tax payers have to pick the final bill, then the President and our political leaders should consider "staycationing"[vacationing locally] and be proud of what this country has to offer.

In Ghana's current financial crisis, it's shameful to see our President go for such lavish and costly holidays when he could have enjoyed his vacation locally. If our political leaders think setting off on a foreign location is what holiday entails, then they're not only showing poor judgement but that makes them unpatriotic.

The President wants official government vehicales to be given GV registration, ostensibly with a view to "curbing misuse and savings on fuel?" How about flying the presidential jet, which was purchased at a highly inflated price, all over the place for pleasure? Then he turns around and tells the labourer at ECG to be patriotic and tighten his belt for the future of Ghana? (I won't say tweaaaa)

President Mahama continued by tightening fiscal policies, thereby eliminating waste in the system. The price he(President) is paying for this fiscal discipline is that people will deliberately not work and project the good name of Ghana.
