Your analogy is succinct and a great lesson to people who have selective amnesia. People like Justice said Africans can not rule ourselves so they must defend it by selling us back to the West. The current president is also giving us back as well and the government must be forewarned.

You can defend Nkrumah, but please spare us the Mahama bit. He has failed us completely. Jerry Rawlings introduced some indiscipline into the system through his useless militia goons and commandoes who had no business in being in the system. They had no direction nor drive. A pack of boisterous lunatics!!

I don't think you need to stress yourself pointing out the flaws in the NPP. Secondly, please don't fight back. We have had people like Sarpong, Okoampa-Ahoofe jnr who are doing exactly what we want them to do. Expose their hate for Nkrumah, therefore scaring away the floating voters who I can tell you MAY go for Nana Addo if the NPP don't mess up any further. Both the NPP and NDC have nothing to offer Ghanaians. The floating voters are looking for a far less corrupt administration. That's all! Enjoy your holidays. Peace.

Kojo, you are indeed an entertainer. You are singing the dreams of African unity. They are just dreams. Concentrate on strengthening Ghana. Let's at least feed ourselves. That will not come from our farmers. There has been so many schemes and investments to incentivise our farmers and none have worked because only a trickle of the investment, often aid from other countries, reach the farmers. Even if we could find $10bn to improve agriculture through loans and grants to farmers and local businesses we will still be importing rice and tomatoes in the future.
As to the often touted Nkrumah's industrialisation, that was done with the best of intentions but was proven to be a huge mistake. It had been tried before by an Egyptian leader in the 19th century and that did not work. Let's face it what is it that we run or manage well? Almost all of the state enterprises set up Nkrumah were failing even at the time he was deposed. Nkrumah and people like Kojo Tamakloe and indeed all leaders in Ghana think rhetoric is synonymous with government. We ask our people to work hard, to be honest, to be patriotic and we think we are governing. We have all the laws in Ghana but are unable to enforce hardly any of them. Entertainers like Kojo Tamakloe with the grand title of Pan Africanist are dreamers who make excellent living out of their craft. He does not see the true problems facing Ghanaians or indeed any African, a continent of God knows how many languages with a multitude of corrupt leaders. And he dreams that Africa should be united. There are answers and solutions to Ghana's problems they do not lie in old CPP defunct ideologies.

You ended your article by saying that the solution to Africa's underdevelopment is unity, but nothing in your article supports that conclusion. Your article is so DIVISIVE as it tends to create a rift between NPP (Nana Addo)and all the other political parties in Ghana.
