On the part 1, I had a education on Nzema naming and some lazy people who will not find out but talk. I am not Akan so I can be pardoned. Now to those who will want to keep deceiving themselves, Nkrumah shall never be replaced by any fraud and egoistic persons because they are your relatives or party gurus. We are talking policies, attitudes and practices that we could copy from leaders to better our battered Ghana. JBD did not leave anything but treachery. We could revitalize this country only through Nkrumah's style. We are not talking CPP. We are talking policy and action. Nkrumah does not need cardinal, SAS, Ahofe or me to live. Back to the point of personal interest in the article "..Asantehene and the people of Asante must apologise to the nation" should be THE NATION SHOULD GLORIFY ASANTEHENE AND THE PEOPLE OF ASANTE in the context of present events of 'BOKO-HARAM IN NIGERIA'.
REASONS:
1. For their fore-fathers resisting and driving away Islamic influence on the people of Asante and the Ashanti Empire, south of Northern (Territory)Ghana.
2.causing mayhem in the Ashanti Empire, south of Northern Territory/Ghana to disrrupt the activities of foreign investors and drove off all to remain one to take them on in battlefields.(Read...1807 first Ashati-British War, Bond of 1844,seizure of Asantehene 1896,-Ashanti Goldmine history)
3.Right from the start of Transatlantic Trade refusing to sell/give men to foreign investors.
4. Why Ashantis domination of other Akans? In Biology Law of Genetics, "When two genes meet, one dominates the other but mutate when equal in power/strength (with the Northern Territorians).

No body disputes the contribution of Asante nor Akyem. neither should you derogate the contribution of the Denkyira, the Kosal, the Fante, Nzema etc. I hope you are not one of those who think that, because some Europeans feel superior to black and colored, they truly are more intelligent, productive, civilized and more satisfied with life. U.K. Programme of Comic Relief on Television Channel One is not, I repeat, is not comic style of history writing but comical program to raise funds for charity. You could see from the way the participants dress up, perform funny activities to entice people to donnate cash.
If Ghanaians dont get the message right from the knowledgeable people and for Ghanaians to spur out rubbish to the younger generation, they will live with ignorance/rubbish to pass on.

His interest is how we do our things. Since you date back enough to know that, stores were empty, you will also know why. The evidence is that Busua(of free speech and democracy) had worse dictatorial action than all of Nkrumah's combine. Everybody needs to know this. He defected to CPP after the election in 1957 and cross-carpet again to join United Party in 1959. According to his son I met in London, his father crossed carpet twice when he found Nkrumah 'kasa preko' or a dictator taking no advice from anyone.
1960 Republican Constitution merged all the minority parties viz Trans-volta Peoples Party, Northern Peoples Party and UGCC to form one political party known as UNITED PARTY, to the disadvantage of CPP.
S.D.Dombo was not among the BIG SIX POLITICIANS who started the struggle for INDEPENDENCE. Credit should be given to the Fante Confederacy or Fante Aboriginals Right Society enlightening the people on their rights or entitlements serving their colonial master, the root of nationalism.
I would form NKRUMAH INSTITUTE and carry out to project his activities if I have the means. Anyone/Kojo T can do the same for S.D. There are literaly tens of good books on the history of modern ghana. They are all over place. Any good library should have one.
Most of the history of modern Ghana, ancient and modern, have already been written. They are there though not taught well, if at all, in Ghanaian schools. I personally know some of these scholars who have done some of these archeological and historical works.
And when I say ancient Ghana, I don't mean Ghana Empire. I mean the present geographic location of Ghana going back 5-10 thousand years.
In fact, there is not much any one can add to Ghana's modern history. All contemporary scholars and students do is to reinterprete what had already been written or what archeological discoveries may add or subtract.
For instance, the Institute of African Studies, University of Ghana, and their scholars, dead and alive, have done most of these historical works on modern Ghana's history.
Merely googling modern history of Ghana will turn up him tons of good works on modern history of Ghana.
Finally, Kojo T is right. Dombo is of the NLM tradition, not CPP. I wonder why we have Danquah Institute, not Busia-Danquah-Dombo Institute.
I also wonder why anyone in his right mind will name an Institute after individuals who worked with the CIA (Busia, Danquah) to seel their country. No wonder the world does not acknowledge the likes of Busia and Danquah.
In fact, hundreds of Master's and Doctoral dissertations had been written on and about Nkrumah and his progressive ideas.
Also, hundreds of scholarly papers and books had been written on and about Nkrumah and his ideas, yet Busia and Danquah are hardly known outside Akyem and Bono.
These tell you about the eduring power of Nkrumah and his ideas. No one is saying Nkrumah was an angel, but Danquah and Busia were worse. You know what? The less said about those two fools, the better!
Even their own people, Bono and Akyem, do not hold in high esteem except some deranged writers on Ghanaweb.

This same Houdini (and other same IP-related monikers) has been using Ewe-sounding names to insult me in his comments) attached to my article. I don't have any broblems with my good and intelligent Ewe brothers and sisters. I love them as I love myself.
Also, there was this Ghanaweb columnist who said I was Brother, Mother's child, Figure Out, etc., like Houdini is reaping here. You are probably the same person then. Why don't you provide readers with the IPs?
I don't care a bit who this person is. I am not defined by comments made by others. I have my own personality and independent mind.
Ghanaweb is one place I come to have fun via genuine education, much like the quality education "Brother" is giving you. Don't run from Brother's quality education. Engage him. Obviously he/she is more knowledgeable.
Do I care who you are? I don't. Do care abou the number of comments attached to my articles on Ghanaweb? I don't!
After all, most of the comments I see on Ghanaweb are usually insults. I know the caliber of people who read my articles.
Besides, I don't have the time to be changing my names because no one comments on my articles. Again, do I care about the number of commets? I don't, Mr. Houdini. Remember I don't only write for Ghanaweb.
I communicate with some of them. If they are kind enough, they will read this very statement of mine here and tell you who they are, what they do for a living, etc.
For instance, a distinguished Ghanaian Professor in Africa, a fellow Ghanaweb columnist, has sent me a long list of oustanding Ghanaian scientists and scholars (Europe, Aerica, Africa) and would like me to profile for Ghanaweb readers.
If he is reading this, he will tell you who he's. Every time we communicate we deal with serious issues, not the ones yu are making here.
You see Brother and others talk about serious issues while your talk about trivialities: number of comments, etc. What says the number of comments mean anything?
An article dealing with pornography, gossip, "tribalism," unsubstantiated gossips dealing with NPP/NDC, religion, contrived superstition, and the like are more likely to generate comments than articles dealing with serious historical, economic, political, anthropological, scientific, technological, sociological, etc., issues.
Mr. Houdini we know you! The kind of insubstantial articles some of you post on Ghanaweb are more likely to generate comments merely for their sensational, not educational, content.
People have fun and entertain themselves with insubstantial drivel. That is human nature, by the way, if you care to know. The other thng I can say is that a culumnist should not always take comments serious, in fact, as a measure of an article's likability.
If one person reads my article and likes it, that's okay with me. I don't need the entire population of Ghana to endorse any of my article.
Therefore continue to engage Brother and leave me out of it. In fact, why do you continue going back and forth with Brother if you knew I were him?
Anyway, continue to read my articles. More of such are coming. In fact, I already sent two of such articles to the Editor. Read them them when they are published. It's because of readers like you, Houdini, QED, etc., that is why we write.
On the other hand, I have a good advice for you: Stop reading columnists whose articles you don't like. There are four Ghanaweb columnists whose articles I don't read unless a reader(s) draws my attention to their articles which they want me to respond to.
These four columnists enjoying making up stuff. In fact, most Ghanaweb readers are aware of these columnists I am talking about! That said, do I personally care about what they write about? Know.
Engage Brother and stop bothering yourself with the number of comments attached to my articles when that is not a headache for me.
Mr. Houdini, enjoy my long response as I leave to make myself hot corn porridge, which is what I eat or drink almost every morning. I don't before writing the articles you hate. Do you want me to send you a cup of hot porridge?
I believe hot porridge will do the trick, rather than your hypertensive worries over trivialities such as the number of comments, irrelevant issues that should bother columnists in question!

In this age of technology, teachers are constantly encouraged to find new ways of reaching students - at all levels - whose attention span leaves much to be desired; therefore,here, the author's change of literary style in bringing the misrepresentation of portions of Ghana's historical facts to the fore is to be recognized and appreciated, especially by those of us who have, regrettably, no background in this subject area. Having read other articles by Francis Kwarteng, I trust that his research for this article had been thorough. Consequently, I take the opportunity to commend him on the disciplined way he develops his theme, plot, and cutting humor. The use of the symbolic Siamese twin judges is not only eery but it adds a refreshing touch to this literary work.
Having stated the above, a word of caution to the author and readers is in order:
To us readers: Please let us read all articles, irrespective of the author(s) with an open mind. For a speedier unification of our peoples, let us try to place ourselves in the writer's mind's eye and see things from his/her perspective for a better understanding of his/her message.Where we disagree with statements made, let us coherently edify the writer and readers without resorting to crude pronouncements which only expose our lack of good breeding to one another.Our parents would never approve, mark you!
To the author: Like any other weapon, a pen can also be awesome; we must therefore know precisely when best to use it for an attack, in self-defense or as a neutralizing tool.Always, we must use it to spread love among our peoples.

This article (and the first part) is a political satire. But the bulk of information in the essay is historically correct.
I purposvely cited the book "The Life and Work of Kwame Nkrumah," edited by Prof. Kwame Arhin, the name of the publisher, date of publication, and page number to make a point.
I wrote a piece on Ghanaweb and another columnist tried to give readers the impression that I was either consiously lying or was inadvertently making things up. The Ghanaweb columnist is supposedly a professor.
How he did not know these historical facts is a major surprise to me and my mentor, another professor of history.
The professor in question tried to outsmart readers by claiming that JB Danquah founded, co-founded, or whatever, the Cocoa Marketing Board (Cocobod) in 1947, the funds from which Nkrumah supposedly built the University of Ghana, Legon.
But what he, the professor, did not probably know was that the Cocobod (1947) benefited the British for the most part who used the proceeds to develop Britain, not the Gold Coast.
Later, the government of Nkrumah brought a bill to the floor in 1951 to reorganize the Cocobod in order to use the benefits acruing from cocoa to develop Ghana (the Gold Goast), rather than Britain. This is where JB Danquah comes in. JB Danquah fircely opposed on this bill but a CPP majority in parliament gave him a decisive victory. From then Nkrumah generated enought funds to develop the country. This was contained in the FIRST FIVE-YEAR DEVELOMENT PLAN.
If you remember very well, in the first part I quoted Dr. Kwame Botwe-Asamoah to the extent that if Danquah had won this debate in 1951, Nkrumah may not have done most of the things he did for the country.
What does this mean? It means that the University of Ghana could not or should not be named after a man (JB Danquah) who viciously opposed a bill that would have generated the needed funds to construct the university.
So, what the professor tactically did was to suppress the 1951 Cocoa Marketing Board (Amendment) Act which gave Nkrumah the power to reorganize Cocobod for Ghana's benefit and to talk about 1947 Cocobod when Nkrumah was elsewhere doing other things.
He probably was taking advantage of the a-historical concioussness of his readers. This professor lies on Ghanaweb nearly everysingle day. I personally don't read him though readers occassionally draw my attention to some of his lies-laden essays and ask me to response. I don't always pay attention to him. Most readers know he is congenital liar.
This book in question is an outsatnding work of scholarship by a team of Ghanaian intellectuals from diverse academic disciplines who came together to assess the legacy of Nkrumah's work.
The only part that is not true are the trials, Busia and Danquah's killings, Tetteh Quarshie's testimony (though hisorically he was known to have brought cocoa pods to Ghana; other theories also exist, though); the dog, barking, etc.
However, I am surprised readers who claim to be knowledgeable about Ghana's history and citing "fake histories" here could not separate everyday istorical facts from the "satire" part.
Fiwisintim, you should realize that my essays are not about ethnocentrism. In this essay I said somewhere that "diverse ethnicies" worked to improve education in the Gold Coast, (and by inference) not Akyems alone as this so-called profesor wants to prove to his unsuspecting readers.
Finally, if readers have any problems they should read the book "The Life and Work of Kwame Nkrumah" in its entirity if they have questions. I have tons of references for them as well. Last but not least, this is a political satire. Andy, you, and a few others understood my new style. I don't know why these ones are complaining
