Sorry mate, NEPAD itself was presented to Western donors for approval before it was presented to the people of Africa as "homegrown" development blueprint. In Africa everything is about foreign aid. Any wonder NEPAD has been reduced to the useless peer review mechanism that's consistent with the Western 'good governance' agenda rather than being used to drive economic development.
Anyway, Bokor, congratulations for focusing on something important for once, although I'm surprised about your complaint on the government or the EU not making the agreement available to the public. I'm sure if this was something about Nana Addo, you'd have found it long ago!

My thought exactly. We had easter messages, we want EPA opinions too. In Ghana opposition is interested only in straight forward government scandal and they make political capital, claim democratic credentials, be holly in the eyes of everybody. This is your chance to show leadership. We want endorsement or rejection from key opposition figures on this EPA thing. The government is lazy and is ready to sell us and there is no 'MAN' across the aisle to speak up or tell us his or her view. All those things NPP and NDC talk about are not as important as losing all your productive rights.

By the way, how many people in Ghana can read and interpret the contents of the EPA? You'd better argued neutrally by pointing to other such neocolonial agreements which our govts have been acceding to. This is not the first one and will surely not be the last.

Everywhere else has never been an avid supporter of change! The churches penchant for orthodoxy is very evident, even in this country, for all to see. Where was the church leadership, when ex-Pres Kuffour`s govt set the EPA wheels in motion in 2007? What counter-arguments has the leadership, which is part and parcel of the intelligentia in this country, put forward? And as I have pointed out,why now, when we are already neck-deep in this preposterous arrangement? It is simply not good enough to be part of a general chorus of noise-making;anybody can do that!

But if you are still incredulous, go and read the “Romanus Pontifex” to know how the Catholic (Universal) Church (in Spain) blessed the massive colonization that would reduce Africa to rubble. Then, you should appreciate why the call today by the Ghanaian Catholic Church establishment is eye-opening.
Bokor, you are being intellectually dishonest just like African politicians. If "intellectuals" like you cannot think properly, are you surprised the politicians cannot either? Main bone of contention with you is that you said something about the universal church (Spain) blessing the colonization of Africa. Where has the same universal church (Spain) spoken against EPA? Don't cut and join like a political advert. You should know better!
