When An Arc Bishop Peddle Falsehood About Dr. Nkrumah

Mon, 5 May 2014 Source: Sangaparee, Clement

The political history of Ghana has never been told as it is by contemporary politicians, the Clergy, the Media and even writers. It has always been NARRATED with POLITICAL BIASES (depending on the author) since the violent overthrow of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah on 24th February 1966 when Col. Kotoka and Brigadier Afrifa who were bribed with 13 million dollars by the American C.I.A to destabilize Ghana and they did it. These distortions in Ghana’s history have made some politicians millionaires and attracted many unqualified people and even Pastors to this “lucrative business” The late so – called master historian, Professor Adu Boahen first wrote a history book on Ghana without any reference to the role played by Dr. Kwame Nkrumah who led the country to independence in 1957. Can that false history book authored by Adu Boahen be recommended by Ghana’s teachers for their youthful students who were not even born during Dr. Nkrumah’s time in office? The answer is capital no. You see, lies put up as propaganda remain lies, no matter the political persuasion of the liar. Secondly, on 13th June, 2012, Archbishop Peter Kwasi Sarpong read a very lengthy speech and gave a brief incorrect or false socio political and economic history of Ghana and mentioned Dr. Kwame Nkrumah as an intolerant and bad man, but he did not point out the reasons why Dr. Kwame Nkrumah was intolerant. Bishop Sarpong again failed to tell his audience the reason why the United Party members attempted to overthrow Dr. Nkrumah in 1958, just one year after Ghana’s independence in 1957. Yes, I am taking on the Bishop in my capacity as a former Young Pioneer Cadre from 1959-1966 and I saw it all fiili-fiili” I don’t read Dr. Nkrumah’s history from any book because I my self was with him as a Young Pioneer Cadre since he was a peoples man. Will Arch Bishop Sarpong sit down unconcerned for a violent tribal group of United Part members to throw bombs at him? Was Dr. Kwame Nkrumah the only bad president of Ghana? It is my Godly responsibility to point out the hypocrisy in Arch Bishop Sarpong’ s speech and further ask for forgiveness for him since he has committed the same sins that he was admonishing others about. He is a high profile man of God and his words carry weight but if he decided to peddle out right falsehood in front of the Youth in order to get favour from the blood soaked NPP on whose plat form he gave that false political history of Ghana, then our nation is fast heading into a ditch led by our Bishops and other men and women of God. When Dr. Busia went into self imposed exile with the assistance of the C.I.A in 1959, he became the conduit of funding for bombs killing maiming in innocent men, women and children, so did Busia help the nation better than Dr. Kwame Nkrumah? What the Archbishop failed to tell Ghanaians about was the deliberate throwing of bombs by Adam Amandi of the United Party at Kulungugu, Accra, Kumasi, Takoradi and Tema and other towns and cities to make the country ungovernable. The same trend in a different form has started again since December 8th 2012 up to date 2014. The series of organized market burnings, demonstrations, violence, strikes, uncooperative attitude of the opposition NPP members all point to one thing. They (NPP) want political power at all cost through foul means. The Archbishop deliberately forgot to tell Ghanaians that Dr. Nkrumah captured an assailant sent by United Party members to assassinate him in a point blank shooting with a police rifle since his assailant was a police constable posted to the Flagstaff House on guard duty. Dr. Kwame Nkrumah grabbed that policeman, over powered him and sat on him until policemen arrived on the scene and arrested their colleague. Archbishop Sarpong also failed to mention that it was Dr. Nkrumah who said he was not going to tolerate political parties that were formed based on ethnic and religious lines. As a result of that, all the remaining opposition parties came together to form the United Party which the NPP represent today 2014. We cannot sit down and allow this Bishop to feed the youth with garbage. I t will be recalled that Chief S.D. Dombo, he leader of the Northern Peoples Party (NPP) which had the majority MPs in opposition at that time instead of becoming the leader of the United Party (UP), he relinquished the leadership to Dr. Busia who was always in exile exporting bombs, grenades and other explosives to Ghana for Dr. Nkrumah’s assassination. If most church leaders led by Bishop Kwasi Sarpong refuse to tell the Youth the truth why won’t the moral fiber of Ghanaians degenerate? Archbishop Sarpong should have been honest and truthful enough to tell the youth and the whole world that it was rather Dr. Nkrumah who forged NATIONAL UNITY AND INTEGRATION. He was a very peaceful and God fearing man, but was HATED BY the reactionary conservatives in the United Party with Bishop Sarpong as a staunch member who could not understand why a poor Nzima village boy like Dr. Kwame Nkrumah could be move intelligent, sensible and visionary to defeat them thrice in 1951, 1954 and 1956 to become Ghana’s first Prime Minister and later Ghana’s first President. These are the bare facts. The country is rather heading the wrong way morally it is now time for serious reflections and prayers since some men of God led by Bishops, Pastors, Cardinals, Catechists, Church Elders, Reverend Ministers all fear the truth and rather tell lies through their teeth and Professor Adei, a retired lecturer of GIMPA have closed his eyes and plugged his long ears as if he is not aware of all these nasty state of affairs going on in our churches and other institutions but decided to deceive well meaning Ghanaians that the President and all his ministers are liars. Prof Adei deserves a medical check up to establish his true state of mind otherwise I am afraid. I am demanding answers from Archbishop Kwasi Sarpong who is now a pathological liar leading the Clergy into the ditch in the Ashanti Region.

Is anybody littering? I shall return in the final part when the need arise. I am done ‘Jaanbie Iwaii” Alluta Continua!
