The NPP Has No Roots In The Northern Peoples Party At All

Tue, 6 May 2014 Source: Sangaparee, Clement

Since 1992, leading members of the NPP have been making several false statements that have no scientific basis which are clearly befogged with clouds of errors as events are not always traced to their causes, and are undoubtedly some of the most nonsensical assertions by the same people.

It will be recalled that the late Professor Adu Boahen of cursed memory quickly RE-WROTE a history book on Ghana without reference to the role of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.

Again, one Mr. Ebo Quansah lied to Ghanaians through his Teeth that THE NPP TAKES ITS NAME AND INSPIRATION FROM THE NORTHERN PEOPLE’S PARTY WHICH MERGED WITH THE NATIONAL LIBERATION MOVEMENT and other smaller parties’ see “Ghanaian Chronicle” of Wednesday April 16th 2014 page 10. What a Pathological Liar.

In fact, some people believe falsely that when they become Lawyers, Bishops, Engineers, Doctors and top Civil Servants that have acquired chains of degrees which automatically make them Saints and good politicians and so what ever they say must be swallowed hook, line and sinker. I totally disagree with such intellectuals and so, I am not only going to give Ebo Quansah free education but to send him to the cleaners. If the NPP takes its name from Northern Peoples’ Party, why is it that no Northerner has ever been elected as its flag bearer?

Was the late Vice President Alhaji Aliu Mahama not given only 20 votes when he contested for the NPP flag bearer ship at Legon in 2007, so electing Mr. Paul Afoko as the National Chairman of the NPP does not change and will never change anything simply because there is always blood in the head of a tsetse fly, once a Tribal Party always a Tribal Party- period.

The NPP rather takes inspiration from the National Liberation movement (NLM) and that is why it is a violent party and not from the North. The Umbilical Cord of the NPP was cut at the Manhyia Palace on 19th September 1954 in Kumasi.

The formation of the Northern Regional Party, the Northern Peoples’ Party (NPP) was based on the STRONG FEELING by the leading Northern Elements that they needed to protect themselves against tendencies in southern politicians TO DOMINATE THEM through the use of what they called Northern carpet baggers. Its main inspirer was the Tolon-Naa who represented the Northern Chiefly Authority, therefore, the Conservative and Nationalist Forces who were ready to fight for the interest of the North separately. Among the leadership were men such as Mumuni Bawumia , Chief S.D. Dombo, B.K.Adama, J.A. Braimah, Jatoe Kaleo and Adam Amandi who organized the Kulungugu bomb attack on Nkrumah in August 1962 after the Northern Peoples’ Party merged with all the opposition parties to form the United party.

We had the Moslem Association Party (MAP) which was largely made up of immigrant Hausa Colonies of the Zongos in Accra, Kumasi, Takoradi and the Gao and Zambrama from the French territories. It was an amorphous organization which quickly came under the influence of Chiefs in both Accra and Asante because of its alien status. They declared that “True Muslims can never be friends of the CPP.” Its militancy was demonstrated when its grass roots followers became the recruiting ground for thugs and bomb throwers by the future blood soaked National Libration Movement (NLM)with “Mate-meho” as its local name.

Its Asante leaders were Alhaji Amadu Baba, and Larden Lalam who financed some of the political thuggery that disturbed the Ashanti and the Eastern Regions in the mid fifties where Ethnic Cleansing took place and claimed the lives of thousands of innocent men, women and children from the other tribes apart from Asante citizens. The Northern Peoples’ Party was NOT part of that bloody Ethnic Cleansing in Kumasi and Kyebi.

All over the country, the political scene was fragmented into an assortment of Regional and Sectarian claims supported by the Chiefs and the so-called intellectuals at that time.

THE NATIONAL LIBERATION MOVEMENT (NLM)

In September 1954, the National Liberation Movement was formed in Kumasi. The immediate cause of its birth was the Cocoa Duty and Development Funds Bill which was introduced in the Assembly in order to fix cocoa price at 72 shillings a bag for 4 years.

This was contrary to what the CPP had promised the country. The cry of “Yate ye ho” to wit-we have broken away was raised. The Asante Youth Association (AYA) which was once a Vanguard Wing of the CPP declared for Asante” Nationalism” Now, with the above facts, where does the Northern Peoples Party fit in, I beg to ask Ebo Quansah who exposed his ignorance in the pages of the “Ghanaian Chronicle?

When the NLM was launched on 19th September 1954, the Great Oath of Asante was sworn. Baffour Akoto was elected its Chairman. The swearing of the important Oath signified the seriousness of the sectarian perspective of the Movement which was created ONLY for the SONS and DAUGHTERS of the “Asante nation”. Three weeks after the launching of the NLM, all the Chiefs of the Asante man Council declared their full support for the Movement and they again swore the Great Oath, and pledged 20pounds drawn from the Asantehene Palace Fund to support it.

In 1955, the Asantehene, Nana Agyeman Prempeh II, gave his unambiguous support by saying that the Asante State had assumed full responsibility for the National Liberation Movement, Its appeal was limited to Asante, Its call to arms was based on the past conquering glories of the state, so how does the Northern People’s party (NPP) fit in a purely Asante Movement that was formed mainly for the sons and daughters of Asante.

Mr. Ebo Quansah must clarify that issue for the Youth of Ghana to be well informed. We also had the “Ga Shifimo kpe” for Gas which was one of the political parties formed on Ethnic lies? The Togoland Congress for Ewes, the Moslem Association Party for Moslems and the Northern People’s Party for Northerners while the dreaded blood soaked NLM was formed by Asante for Asantes alone between 1954 and 1956.

All the above tribal political parties came together to form the United Party which the NPP represent today 2014. It was a result of the avoidance of Discrimination Bill that was sent to Parliament by Nkrumah’s CPP banning all political parties formed on tribal and religious lines that compelled all those tribal groupings to come together and form the United Party- so the New Patriotic Party could NEVER have ANY ROOTS in the Northern People’s Party at all. Is that clear Mr. Ebo Quansah?

Dr. Kwame Nkrumah laid a very good and sound foundation for Ghana in 1957 and united the country to the envy of other nations. On the other hand, the NLM/NPP used a so called “Asante nationalism” and Regionalism to reverse 90% of Dr. Nkrumah’s massive achievements with impunity on 24th Feb. 1966, so what are people like Ebo Quansah really talking about?

The intellectuals and some Crooks in cassocks leading the NPP are hell bent on instilling in our sub-unconscious minds that it is alright to deceive Ghanaians and lie to them in order to grab political power and then turn their backs to the very people whose THUMB PRINTS put them there.

There are several Professors of Political Science in Ghana and abroad who did not understand and still does not understand the actual political situation in Ghana right from the formation of the great Convention People’s Party at Saltpong in 1949 up to the time of the violent overthrow of the late Dr. Kwame Nkrumah on 24th Feb. 1966. That there was a force of integration as against an external force of disintegration fully backed by the Western Powers which created internal subversive activates and who were arrested but have managed to depict them selves after the 1966 bloody coup rather as the victims of Dr. Nkrumah’s political oppression in Ghana. I was a Former Young Pioneer Cadre from 1959 up to 24th February, 1966, so I fear no Political Scientist in Ghana or abroad because chains of degrees does not make one a good politician at all. If you doubt it, just go to the camp of the violent prone NPP and there are abundant fake Political Scientists there and I am just taking on one such character in the person of Mr. Ebo Quansah who have been brain washed by such ignorant Political Scientists in the camp of the NPP. You see, lies put out as propaganda, remain lies no matter the political persuasion of that liar. Hmmm!! Keep your fingers crossed, I shall return.

Is anybody listening? I shall return when the need arise. I am done ‘Jaanbie Iwaii” Alluta Continua!
