Maybe another Taliban style 'Kumi Preko' any time soon would be their saviour but Ghanaians are every prepared to unleash same on them should they try it again.
But that said, not too long ago, I did express same soft spot for Akuffo Addo, the man has suffered too much defeat and looks like he is a changed man now. But as the maxim holds, an elephant in the Bush is no different from the one as a beast of burden.

Just like all NDC blooming idiots,Kobina Antobam decided to harp on the NDC flagship propaganda slogans of 'all die be die' and "we akans", which was carved out of context of speeches made by Nana Addo.
Where was Kobina Antobam when their founder and owner, the obese lunatic butcher of Dzelukope,His Butchery Majesty Julor Jato Rawlings aka Gyamfi Paul alias Togbui Avaklasu I the arsonist told the people of Cape Coast that a cat was more cleaner that the noble people of cape coast ?
Where was Kobina Antobam when John Mahama told Ghanaians in the northern regions that they should vote for him because he comes from the north ?
If that pimple on Kobina Antobam's ass hadn't turned out to be a brain tumor, he would have been in a better position to see the unprecedented corruption under the current NDC and past NDC govts which has earned Ghana the unenviable name "Republic of Corruption" and the gross incompetence which has resulted in the unbearable hardships currently facing Ghanaians.
Did I hear that bucktoothed bubble-brained butthead Kobina Antobam depicting Kufuor's administration which took over a highly indebted poor country(HIPC)Ghana in 2001 and transformed it into a middle-income country within 6 years without oil revenues as a corrupt legacy ?
Kobina Antobam has with his latest write-up just proved that he is an indescribably incorrigible ruffian and a maniacal, maliciously malodorous mediocrity afflicted with mental retardation and should not be taken seriously with his twaddles .

Dear reader, compare this piece of prose with what we are bombarded with on a daily basis here by Okoampa. Antobam didn't strain himself to use some strange English words that no Ghanaian has heard of before. The writing flowed smoothly and you read without having to pause to ruminate hours on end over what the sentences mean.
You can appreciate a piece for many reasons. Even if you don't agree with what Antobam is saying, you'll agree that the guy has a darn wonderful way of saying it.
More grease to your elbows, Mfantseman. Why don't we have more of you, rather than the likes of Okoampa and Borkor?

Ethnocentrism has no place in modern civilization. A masterpiece!
As for JB Danquah, he's nothing to write home home. I don't waste precious time discussing him.
From a personal perspective, however, Nkrumah is discussed at the international level and thus worth the ink of our pens. Danquah is more of a local artefact whose righful place is a museum. Once again, beautiful work.
Keep up the good work.

OFFICE OF THE ODIKRO
a companion of the black star!
I also think this is a brilliant piece. I particularly agree with the writer when he writes,
"So, taking into account the recent face-saving changes in the party and the seemingly hollow rhetoric of peace and contrition, is it reasonable to ask if “all-die-be-die” is really dead, is in its death throes at this point, or it is shelved to be revived when appropriate? How the NPP will let Ghanaians aware that the “all-die-be-die” political defense strategy has unequivocally been banished from the party’s campaign agenda forever depends on the leadership and the kind and tone of message they send to Ghanaians."
All the same, taking into consideration, the gravity of the offence, Nana Akufo-Addo must come out categorically to repudiate and apologize publicly before he can even considered a viable contender.
I wonder what what the writer intends to imply here:
"Again, I do not believe Akufo-Addo needs to prostrate before Ghanaians with a bullhorn in hand and loudly apologize to the nation. He has already been there and done that. With careful choice of words, he has already eaten his combative bombastic emotive words of recent past. He has told Ghanaians how sorry he was about his careless choice of words.
In March this year, when he announced that he was going to contest the candidacy of the NPP for president, he used that opportunity to tell Ghanaians that he was truly sorry. “I have made mistakes in my life, I have said things I could on hindsight have put better,” he said. In order for him to project a dignified image and be a serious contender of the upcoming presidential elections, I consider this a decent enough contrition and acceptance of guilt. So, I will admonish partisan Ghanaians with thick blinders on not be petty, mischievous, and crass and stop asking Mr. Akufo-Addo to publicly apologize to his fellow citizens for those two comments."???

Dear Adam,

My evaluation of the article has more to do with the content, not the prose, though the prose is equally excellent and beautiful. That is his style. I have mine. We all do.
Unfortunatley, there is nothing much I can do about it. Get used to my style. Like I have repeatedly said, I don't only write for Ghanaweb.
And I don't have Ghanaweb in mind when I write. Ghanaweb is not a standard I usually use for my essays. Plus, there is nothing like "strange words." Get a dictionary or don't read at all if you think you will have a problem with a writer's work.
I bet you there may still be others out there who may privately have found some of the everyday words used by Kobina as "strange words." I know people on Ghanaweb will complain no matter how one writes.
Get you used to my style.
Thanks.

Should these two gentlemen tell the nation that they have changed, it will only underline the fact that they have become a bit more deceptive. They meant what they have said and of course they have said what they mean and wish to happen in Ghana. Words coming from leaders and potential leaders must be taken seriously. We don't need to experience violence or war like it happened in some of our sister countries to know how unpleasant it can be. Vote them in office and spell doom for our already ailing country. A serpent can always remain a serpent and dangerous even if it is always calm or appeared to be tamed. These two men of all die be die and I declare war on the Gas and Ewes can never change. Please don't be deceived

Even the dogs in the streets of Nima could have told the hubristic Akuffo Addo that his All-die-be- Die mantra would cost the NPP dear. These foolish statements uttered by Akuffo Addo is indelibly etched on the minds of countless Ghanaians.Matters were made much worse when a rabid Kennedy Agyapong (or is it Adjapong)was not severely reprimanded for making reckless and inflammatory statements against non Akan Ghanaians. In the words of one veteran NPP leader "Kennedy threw a grenade into a room packed with non Akan NPP supporters and potential supporters" Today we see an NPP leadership furiously backpedaling to distance itself from its perception as an Akans only party. THE REASON NANA AKUFFO ADDO REMAINS DAMAGED GOODS IS BECAUSE OF THE FACT THAT MANY GHANAIANS ASSOCIATE HIM STRONGLY WITH MONO TRIBALISTIC POSITION. It seems to me that Nana Akuffo Addo to the present day has still not grasped the catastrophic consequences of his badly ill-judged remarks. The likes of Akuffo Addo, Kennedy Adjapong are damaged goods and a liability to the NPP. They lack mass appeal in Ghana. The NPP will have to make very hard choices going forward: Keep your tribalists and lose the election or distance yourselves from the losers and win.

I think this is a master piece that all of us must learn from, especially those so called politicians who are so shallow minded, myopic and have forgotten that, numbers win elections, and not tribalism. I am particulary happy that, Ghanaians have come of age and can easy read into whatever these so called politicians are saying and telling us, either direct or indirect. If there is anyone in this country today, who think he or she can win presidential or any other elections based on tribalism, then that person is living in outer space. Tribalism has no room in politics anymore in this country. A word to a wise. Good piece worth reading.

For as long as Kufour is solidly alive, Akufo Addo will never and I repeat, never become president of this country. Even after his death, he will still not be. Was Akufo Addo not part of that governmeent, and held very important positons, that which made it easily for him to stop Kufour from most of the economic crimes that they have committed against this country? It was interesting to hear Gabby, come out in one of their loots to defend Akufo Addo, of not taking part in the sharing of State lands and other properties, even though he had been offered one. Isn´t it absured? Meaning that, he is fully aware of what was taking place but refused to intervene to stop it, as the Attorney General. And today, this man is telling Ghanaians to make him president! My good ness! We are not talking of all the things hanging over his head. Come on! Ghana deserve better! Mahama is not perfoming to expectations, but with time and togetherness we will reach there, and the NPP is not the solution. What is it that they have now remember, which recently they have forgotten for the eight good years? The stealing and sharing of our oil money in the name of commission and the sale of our national access and pocketing it? Come on Ghanaians! Do not be decieved by these tribal bigots who are now desperately looking for power to come and loot the rest of what has been salvaged from them! Now, it is misinformations all the way. Thank God, Ghanaians are not like them and will vote according to their conscience. And I think majority of Ghanaians would prefer peace to war as Akufo Addo and his tribal npp are proclaiming.

Has he forgotten that his fellow kinsmen,Paa Kwesi Nduom,Asamoah Boateng and others participated in the 'plunder' of our enormous wealth during the 8 years that they run the show in this country. "nstead of accepting responsibility for the self-imposed constricting “Akan” negativity and that it was Akufo-Addo who labeled the party that way and gave that term credibility or notoriety, NPP members have suddenly developed selective amnesia and are now blaming the National Democratic Congress as the originators of the “unfair” labeling of the NPP as an Akan party. Self-assured and stable people readily accept responsibility when they are culpable of personal mistakes and improprieties, while the weak either withdraw into themselves or feign anger and become hostile and quarrelsome when confronted with their mistakes."
Crude distortions! When Akfo-Addo, made the "Yen Akanfo" statement did he refer to the NPP? Wasn't he referring to the fact that Akan electoral officers had been beaten in certain parts of the country, including parts of Accra, without the government doing anything about it? Have you forgotten about Nii Lante Vanderpuye preventing Akans from registering in parts of Accra? How about Kobby Acheampong branding a whole region "kookooasefuo?" Selective amnesia?
As for your reference to the EO Group, it is so illiterate it only beats Kwesi Pratt's gross misunderstanding of the petroleum industry which he believes he champions. The EO Group simply promoted Ghana's oil potential for a fee, like any prudent businessman would do.
In fact Owusu was promoting Ghana way back in 1987, long before the NPP was born. Kufuor was just an opportunist who just wanted to cash in on something that had absolutely nothing to do with him, perhaps with his "pension" in mind.
MOot Ghanaian politicians, including Jerry Rawlings are afraid of Akufo-Addo because just as he destroyed their capricious libel law, they fear that he will probe their dubiuos deals of the past!
