My friend, I understand your frustration but none of the programs you mentioned was solely geared towards the development of one geographical area like SADA is or is staffed with only people from the southern part as SADA is. SADA which if implemented successfully will benefit the whole country and not only Northerners for some strange reasons is staffed with only people from the three Northern regions as if they are the only people who have the patriotism to develop the North.
You might not like it but the existence of the Northern Elite is not a fiction or mirage. These are the Educated Northerners and Businessmen with Northern roots like Agambire and Ibrahim Mahama with connection to the Presidency who are using their connection to enrich themselves at the detriment to the poor majority Northerners.
Sorry to burst your bubbles but the deprivation of the North has always been because of the educated, rich and powerful Northerners also known as Northern Elites who abandon the North and build their businesses and mansions at the Southern part of the country. The Northern Elites have used SADA to enrich themselves without caring a hoot about their poor kayayes and kayakayas, that is a fact.

But it was not an issue because it was expected that if the initiatives in palm oil or cassava were successful, it will benefit the whole nation.
You seem to be carried away by so much ethnocentrism that you have thrown objectivity to the winds, and you are talking as if there is no single 'southerner' in the 'north'.
There are 'southerners' working in various capacities, from officers to shoe shine boys (for every body, and not only for 'southerners'), just as there are 'northerners' working in various capacities from officers to kayayes. In any case how would you describe the 'Southern part of the country'? Where does it start and end? Are you aware that sometimes the Brong Ahafo and Ashanti Regions are not considered as southern Ghana? Or you want to create your own demarcations for your own ethnocentric reasons? I guess by 'Southern part' your mind is fixated in Accra and Kumasi where kayayes are found are mainly found. I guess you are not likely to include Atebubu in Brong Ahafo Region, nor Kete Krachi in the Volta Region. People from all these areas, indeed, people from all regions in Ghana, move to Accra and Kumasi. I dare say even people from Kumasi also move to Accra, if even they do not outnumber everybody from all regions, and I suspect they have businesses and mansions also in Accra, just as some 'northerners' also have.
Can you imagine the implications for survival in either side, if there was no trading or businesses between your so-called northern part and southern part?
Like the good book says, there is no part of the human body which is less important. Ghana is like the human body, and so every part of Ghana is important for its development, and the earlier we stopped dichotomizing Ghana into amorphous demarcations of 'north' and 'south' the better for our progress as a nation.

Intelligent people support their views with solid evidence. They do not make wild unsubstantiated submissions. SADA is not for only Upper East, Upper West and Northern regions, check your facts. SADA is not staffed by only northerners, check your facts.
Intelligent people do not look at an issue narrowly, but take other factors into consideration. Why was PSI a failure? Were the staff all 'northerners'. Intelligent people are careful not to make careless statements without reflection, because they are conscious that their statements could be interrogated. After exhibiting poor understanding of the definition of the 'north', you are now arrogantly declaring that you don't 'give a damn whether Ashanti region and Brong Ahafo are deemed as part of the North'. You should give a damn next time you are writing, because people will interrogate whatever you put out there, and you should be ready to stand by it. the problem with this northern mentality is that thanks to jj they now all have an unquenchable thirst for power but never to serve in a team or accept their fellow countrymen . just look around in Accra and study the majority of the businesses owned by these northerners and in the majority of the medium and Small sized businesses you notice they only employ their fellow northerners and practically never employ an Akan . Today in Accra the largest religious building in the country will be the mosque being build on our national park at Nima donated by Turkey confirming the Islamic domination of Ghana. Tribalism mixed with chauvinism and despotism from the north has now equaled the hegemony of the ewes . A.C.C.R.A any criminal can roam about so we have them everywhere now . even at the scholarship secretariat hardly ever is an Akan awarded the privilege to go abroad and study now . The Akans are the majority but because most continue to sleep or blindly trust the other tribes these atrocities are taking place . We look at the political strategy of the NDC and see the typical Hannibal wench when he turned the strengths of the mighty Roman army against themselves as they are doing to the Akans . From the south they use part of the Fantis and from the North the Brongs , from behind we have the chariot onslaught of the Gas Ewes Krobos. Yes the political landscape reflects a war which is only meant to destroy the right of self governance of the God's chosen nation of Africa the Akan . For them its a big deal who leads the NPP but we really don't care as our movement grows stronger by the hour as more and more Akans wake up to reality of this dire situation . To add, no provision exists any documents establishing SADA that its leaders must be Northerners. In the wisdom of the president, giving prior positions to Northerners in SADA could have accelerated devt there they are already well informed about the problems.
Unfortunately, the said leaders disappointed Ghanaians (not merely Northerners). Each passing day, I keep wondering why people just want to get excessively rich at the expense of the taxpayers.
However, every issue in Ghana is overpoliticize such that what is a corrupt practice is relative. Until we jointly punish wrongdoers at once, people will continue doing wrongs. When doctors in KATH caused a baby to disappear mysteriously, no mention was made that Southerners or Asantes are baby sellers. Compare human life to money.
If indeed, the SADA executives caused us this harm, why should they merely be changed? By now, they needed to be behind bars pending recommendations for how to refund the monies.
The courts are not helpful here. Remember the Jake Bungalow issue. Throughout the said proceedings in court, no journalist reported that southerners or Gas are thieving our bungalows.
Keep being a true Ghanaians. Let's together punish and shun wrongdoers.

As Sarpong argued above, there IS a Northern Elite even more than there is a Southern Elite. We as Ghanaians are ALL concerned that the North lacks in development compared with the South. We are all concerned that this gap is bridged. The Northern Elite should be at the vanguard of efforts to bridge this gap. The work cannot be done by them alone but they should be at the vanguard. If an initiative meant for the north fails, it hurts all of us more than the failure of a similar initiative in the south. And it hurts "northerners" most!
If the boards and employees of initiatives meant for the north are made up mostly of northerners (clearly because they should have the greatest love for their home areas), then failure of such initiatives should be blamed more on those northerners than their southern counterparts.
It is most unfortunate that the blame game is taking an ethnocentric turn. This cannot be tolerated or excused but it should be understood. Perhaps you will also turn your guns on your fellow "northerners" and tell them that they cannot, and must not fail, with these initiatives. They cannot give anybody cause to be suspicious and turn to ethnocentric comments.
Yes, we should stop blaming Northerners because they are northerners. But that is not all the story...
