Muslims are scared to admit the truth that Islam is a flaw religion. Well, all good Muslims are quick to dismiss Boko Haram or Al Qaeda that, what they are doing is not Islam. All these Islamic militants including Boko Haram and Al Qaeda are practicing what Mohammed had written and preached for.

Why is it that from Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sudan, Yemen and most Middle Eastern Muslims countries are against girls education? Islam is against girls being educated. Islam wants girls to marry; whether they will be third or fourth wives to these Islamic Immans, Islam does not care. All what it cares is to force these ten year old girls into marriage.

Islam is a hate religion, for it preaches death to Jews and Christians. We are not seeing Islam threats to Christians and Jews in the western world because Muslims are minute segment of the population. In Muslims dominated countries, Christian are being killed every day because of their Christian religion.

I don't think Muslims understand the writings of their so-called prophet Mohammed. In Egypt, the christian minorities are taxed in their communities for not joining Islam. If the Christians refuse, these wicked Muslims will either burn Christian business or kill them. What good is in Islam?

Look at Muslims world, it is all kill, kill, kill all the time.Muslims world is the most unstable communities in the world. They love shedding innocent blood. How can Muslims have gut to kill someone, perhaps a relative, who has live in the community for ages just because that person won't convert to Islam.It is only Satan, whose business is to steal and destroy can do what some Muslims do(kill) at ease.

What is the crime of the Nigerian school girls that these Islamic militant group has abducted? If those Islamic group do not want their girls to have modern education, they should leave other children alone.

there is no truth is their Quran. That is why good Muslims are scared to face these militant group. If the good and moderate Muslims try to confront these islamic militants, these militants are going to quote exactly what Quran says. The moderate s have no answer to counter the militants. The islamic militants are doing exactly what Quran teaches.

If Quran teaches that girls should not have modern education, why do you want to educate Islamic girls. This is the major problem Islam faces.

Why are Muslims sending their girls to school? Boko Haram is trying to implement what Quran teaches. If you have different from what these extreme Islamists are saying, let us hear you.

It is not only Boko Haram that is trying to interpret Quran this way.From Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Yemen and most Islamic countries, they are against Islamic girls having education. We all saw what happened to that beautiful little girl in Pakistan.

Unless and until these questions are satisfactorily answered, ad hoc explanations to Boko Haram’s terrorist attacks would be analogous to merely treating the symptoms of a disease.

Danquah and Nkrumah - who was a better scholar? It's only idle and purposeless scholarship that spends time debating such trifling issues. If we are able to establish that one is better than the other, what have we then achieved? What have we proven of benefit to us?

This is just like those African scholars who keep on debating about whether Achebe is greater than Soyinka when it is more important to take what both of them have given us, enjoy it and move on from there.

In the same way, we can just take what both Danquah and Nkrumah have given us by way of scholarship, learn from their works and go on from there. Which of them was better than the other is absolutely of no consequence for us today. We can only seek to justify the place of each in our history, not to argue that the one was greater than the other.

Nkrumah was more politically successful than Danquah but that doesn't mean we should degrade Danquah's contributions. They all did their best and succeeded to varying extents like in any human endeavour. Why should we be arguing anything beyond that?

Danquah was one of the early Gold Coasters to have achieved the grade of PhD. In those days, the doctoral theses were small pamphlets. Danquah may have had a lot of topics to choose from since he was dealing in an area with little scholarship. He was a pioneer in the area because of the circumstances. Things are different these days. Nkrumah started his PhD in similar unchartered areas but couldn't finish.

By the time of our independence, there were only a handful of PhD holders in the entire colony, indeed, there were only a few Gold Coasters who had gone to university "at all". Most educated people were Cert B certificate holders with the rest being MSLC holders. If we were establishing our first Academy of Arts and Sciences (along the lines of the French of Swedish Academies) it would have been criminal to have left out Danquah from that august assembly of the country's intellectuals. There was hardly a huge field to choose from, anyway. It was unfortunate that political considerations made him decline the offer. The Academy should properly be beyond partisan politics.

But arguing today about whether Nkrumah was a better scholar than Danquah or the other way round is a completely idle pursuit. It's a frippery, a bagatelle!!!

In any case, Nkrumah was also a superlative scholar, graduating top of his class, etc. He in fact completed his PhD course work and dissertation but he was denied his defense of it cos it was said to be "too communistic". He refused to make changes and left to the UK to start a new one. That was the depth of the man.

politically formative years in two parts:"the American years." 1935 to 1945 and "the London years",1945 to 1947. The first ten years were intensely academic, and were spent at two U.S. institutions of higher education,Lincoln University — an
African American liberal arts college,and the nearby University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Nkrumah was an outstanding student at Lincoln, graduating magna cum laude with a B.A.in sociology in 1939. Heals o worked there in various
capacities as a teaching assistant and as an instructor,including a one-year appointment as professor of Philosophy an Logic, Elementary Greek, and Negro Civilization and History in 1944-45.

In addition to earning a Master of Science degree in education at the University of Pennsylvania, Nkrumah assisted in teaching African language at the Institute of Languages and Culture. Unfortunately, his Ph.D. dissertation in Philosophy was rejected, presumably for being "too pro-Communistic" (p.64).

It's not scholarship to abuse people and neither is it scholarship to focus on irrelevancies such as comparing the intellectual prowess of people. Scholarship is about 'ideas' and one’s ability to convince the academic world and beyond about his/her ideas which he/she thinks can change the world for the better. Nkrumah attained that. His works are in virtually all the major universities across the world. But if want to descend yourself to this low then let’s see if you or Dr. Danquah can be compared to Nkrumah in terms scholarship.
