  Please, if you're unlucky enough to be robbed by gun wielding robbers, how exactly will you protect yourself? God can't but a Gun can. The right to own a Gun is no different from the right to own a car.

  I haven't seen anyone wielding a gun in any of the places you've named arrest a government yet. Guns have rather emboldened bone headed people and it has only led to chaos.

  The proliferation of guns just like disrespect for elders, lawlessness, disregard for authority , rabble-rousing, insults, etc, have all became the norm rather than the exception. These new but adulterated standards, all by-products of the Rawlings failed revolution have polluted the political and social life of the people.
  We've never had a gun culture in our nation but if gun ownership is what the people want then the government must of necessity introduce strict gun control measures to curb the abuses. I doubt if we'd be able to exercise the necessary controls.
