What makes this whole judgement debt saga very disturbing is Konadu Agyeman's ability to get her loan from the Ministry of Finance. Since when did the MFEP become a bank to contract loans to Ghanaians. Only in Ghana can this naked robbery take place.Yet the twin words- probity and accountability are his husband's anthem. This highway robbery by Konadu and his beau the Frankenstein Rawlings was achieved by using Ghana to contract for loan with China government processed through the Exim Bank of China.

With Rawlings as President, Ghana contracted for this loan and the loan was given to 31st December Movement through Caridem. This loan was for $10 million dollars and $8.2million was disbursed during Rawlings administration between 1998-2000. Konadu and her husband took this loan as their personal money whilst Ghanaian taxpayers paid for it.

It was only when Npp came to power and found out the truth that they refused to release the remaining$1.8 million that the Konadu sued and was awarded $4.15 million.

The so called Chinese company owning 51 percent is a lie. The so called Chinese company exist on paper only. Konadu and Rawlings owned this company 100 percent.

These so called elders including Nana Addo underestimated these youth and the brain power they have , maybe its time to give way and allow some of these unknown worthy men /women to come forward and lead. we know many of the youth today have been brainwashed by the NDC propaganda into stupidity so do not see the truth. have you ever asked yourself why is it that when they hear the call WE AKANS they go into a stupefied frenzy of hate ? why is it that Akans are now very cautious of even saying who they are and where they are from , why is it that its only the Akans who believed in the melting pot of Ghana and disregarded their diversities . why is it that today in the ministries most traumatized Akans especially the Fantis and Nzemas will only speak Ga or English yet ewes , northerners and others can freely converse in their mother tongue ? Talk about aggressive tribalism and where its coming from , why is this govt and their minority groups continuously trying to marginalize the Akans and undermine every effort at development since the time of Kotoka . Yes its all about the worst kind of tribalism , hegemony , chauvinism , buga buga , propaganda lies and destructive corruption. We must fight even though we shall be branded mad men , cocaine dealers , drug barons and any other personality or character assassination they can think of . We must not allow them to break our spirit with this deliberate agenda to create poverty , divide and rule , no law or justice for the Akan . We must like it or not seriously consider seceding and forming our own state without these Ewes , Northerners and Gas as that way we leave a legacy and better future for our children . No point in having a country and govt that seems to do well only in making our people miserable and poor , that gives our gold fields to enemies who will never invest a single dollar into our economy but rather do everything to weaken our economies to the point were self reliance is impossible . If the loans were paid or not should not result in murder. They could have been forced to pay the loans, or jailed for not paying the loans. Murder for unpaid loans should also result in corporal punishment for the murderer ...

Going further, if loans could result in murder then theft should result in mutilation. June 4th was about saving Rawlings' life, plain and simple. It was not about any revolution. The SMC was going to kill Rawlings, if Boakye Gyan had not rescued him. And by the way, this article is about the theft of national property. It should not matter if one is NDC or NPP; those who steal from the nation should be prosecuted and severely punished.

The only time I have seen an article taken down by Ghanaweb is when it is about the Carridem Development Company Limited mystery. I remember reading a very insightful article by Justice Sarpong about the secret dealings of the Rawlingses, which was taken down the next morning. A week or two later, Konadu Rawlings came out talking about the same issues raised by Sarpong, and vigorously defending those issues.

As Ghanaians, we should be more concerned about safeguarding what belongs to the nation and prosecuting those who criminally misuse the nation's properties. I will love prosecuting all Ghanaians who steal from the nation, be they NPP or NDC. I do not remember seeing an NDC or NPP bigwig coming to my poor relatives in the village and offering to provide any aid with the stolen monies. The last time I checked, there was no decent water tank in Accra or Kumasi or any part of Ghana. These stolen monies could be used to, at least, provide healthy drinking water for Ghanaians. Stealing is stealing; the name does not change because it is committed by an NDC or NPP member. And we should not be afraid to call them out. Those who commit these crimes have no dignity, and none should be accorded them.

The good thing is Ghanaians have become so sophisticated in democracy that they know very well that respect is better than the ARROGANCE of the whole AKUFO ADDO family.
As if the problems of Akufo Addo alone are not enough it is compounded by surrogates of his family living both home and far away lands making him unelectible in his own part this time around let alone in Ghana.
"Akufo Addo will see Canaan but will not foot there."
His quest to be President has been derailed not just by himself but by his family; Dr Ahoofr-Okoampa a sydonyme a.ka. Otchere- Darko, Sir John Owusu Afriyie, Jake, etc. And all who follow him.
By the way why should Ghanaians suffer such humiliation when Western government will not allow God forbid their president Akufo Addo visa because he is fake, no law degree or certificate, afraud for life and support drug dealers and awould be warlord "all die be die"
By extension when this man is make president the citizens will suffer ill-treatment around the world as well especially can not travel freely abroad.

Nana did not win because he had a poor campaign team, and he did not do everything to win. NDC did a better job than the NPP in the 2012 campaign. NPP lost the 2008 election, to a larger degree, on complacency. I am quite sure that the NPP, PPP or CPP would do better than what the NDC has provided since 2008. The NDC is still relevant because they have a term to complete, and also because the other parties have not spelt out a better alternative for the electorate. If anything at all, Nana going to court to challenge the 2012 election results should be commended.

Instead of a prison cell they are still allowed to breathe the air of freedom they denied millions of ghanaians and even. The whole 1992 Fourth Republican Constitution was solely written to satisfy the whims and caprices of the Rawlingses and their hangers on and cronies. Sometimes, when I see how Konadu has turned the DWM into her private money making machine property, it saddens me, particularly as I contributed to the birth of that organisation (see my article entitled, "Konadu Agyemang Rawlings is not the Founder of 31st DWM", Ghanaweb, May 26, 2012). It is also sad and criminal how state assets were illegally sold to or transferred to the Rawlingses through DWM as an NGO during the P/NDC era under Rawlings.

To be honest, the Kufuor government could have better through legal action to have recovered all or some of the stolen assets from DWM instead of giving them another free gift in judgement debt through frustration, which led to the claim against the state. What I mean is, if the laws in Ghana are working, especially Charity Law, then the Rawlingses could not operate DWM as their personal property but purely for charitable purposes. In other words, the law should have been used to take control over DWM and its associate corporate bodies from their hands. It could still be done but that will never happen under NDC.

Whilst I agree with what the Prof said, though I differ with him on choice of words, I also believe that this matter should be discussed and analysed within the contex of the evil judgement debt in Ghana. It has become an avenue for politicians, the rich and powerful, including lawyers, senior civil servants and judges in Ghana to make quick money. It's almost like the lottery for the rich and powerful in Ghana.

I just cannot imagine how and why the Rawlingses still wake up in Ghana and call for probity and accountability as well as accuse others as being corrupt when they misused their position to steal state properties for themselves.

You and I don't always agree with each other on the issues but we don't have to. Within the context of contemporary ghanaian politics you're a rare gem. What's puzzling though is that you're one of those that carried the failed revolution on their bare backs. The greatest bulwark of the Rawlings adventurism was populist support which dwindled when many found out he was a tribal hegemonist who viewed the Akan tribe with bigoted contempt.
