Recent events especially the demonstration in Kumasi show that there are competent capable NPP youth who do not hesitate to do the right thing , strategies and planning on scale almost as perfect as a war effort yet remain humble and real down to earth. These so called elders including Nana Addo underestimated these youth and the brain power they have , maybe its time to give way and allow some of these unknown worthy men /women to come forward and lead. we know many of the youth today have been brainwashed by the NDC propaganda into stupidity so do not see the truth. have you ever asked yourself why is it that when they hear the call WE AKANS they go into a stupefied frenzy of hate ? why is it that Akans are now very cautious of even saying who they are and where they are from , why is it that its only the Akans who believed in the melting pot of Ghana and disregarded their diversities . why is it that today in the ministries most traumatized Akans especially the Fantis and Nzemas will only speak Ga or English yet ewes , northerners and others can freely converse in their mother tongue ? Talk about aggressive tribalism and where its coming from , why is this govt and their minority groups continuously trying to marginalize the Akans and undermine every effort at development since the time of Kotoka . Yes its all about the worst kind of tribalism , hegemony , chauvinism , buga buga , propaganda lies and destructive corruption. We must fight even though we shall be branded mad men , cocaine dealers , drug barons and any other personality or character assassination they can think of . We must not allow them to break our spirit with this deliberate agenda to create poverty , divide and rule , no law or justice for the Akan . We must like it or not seriously consider seceding and forming our own state without these Ewes , Northerners and Gas as that way we leave a legacy and better future for our children . No point in having a country and govt that seems to do well only in making our people miserable and poor , that gives our gold fields to enemies who will never invest a single dollar into our economy but rather do everything to weaken our economies to the point were self reliance is impossible . They do this under the guise of proper business that makes the World bank , IMF and European union happy but we need a Mugabe or Chavez who will look out for the interests of our own people FIRST.

No one whatsoever is against people in the Asante Region also expressing their dissatisfaction with their econ. conditions under the lukewarm regime of Mahama. What has riled some people, and is riling some people, is the tendency of some Asantes to ALWAYS claim that they have been singled out to be special victims, be it under the PNDC, NDC1, NDC2 and now NDC3. The theme chosen for the demo says it all! Are the organisers trying to say that only people in the Ash/R, or for that matter, only Asantes in that region, have been targeted to suffer econ. deprivation under the Mahama regime? Why ONLY THEM? OTHERS ARE SAYING PISS OFF! We are all suffering, not only you! Making the whole econ. malaise in the country appear, as idiots to the bone would have it, only a negative for Asantes, or even Akans, is what sucks!

For decades now, even some scions of your former vassals always end their ethnocentric tirades against the NDC and Ewes in particular by claiming Asantes to be the main victims of JJ's rule and calling upon the Asantes to take the lead in attacking and killing Ewes in particular, like that jerk Agyapong did. And, some foolish Asantes puff their chests and think they were being praised as "brave warriors" who would go to the rescue of the beleaguered Akans! Next time, ask them to go and fight their own fights and leave you alone!

We have had the Reconciliation Committee. Can someone analyse the report to see whether ONLY Asantes were victims under the PNDC, or whether they were disproportionately victims. And if so, why? E.g., were the over-represented among business who were more likely to engage in hanky panky deals or unlawful practices?

Your analogy from the other regions didn't fly. For one, the chiefs in the VR didn't complain that Ewes alone were suffering! The chiefs who came together to issue the statements are not all chiefs of Ewes. Some are chiefs of the many non-Ewe linguistic groups in the VR, e.g., that from Avatime that you mentioned. Avatime people are Akans who have mixed with a local linquistic group to form a new dialect which they speak, not Ewe. Since Ewe is dominant in the VR, they learn to speak Ewe too but that doesn't make them Ewes.

I am not the least moved by your moaning. It is simply chickens coming home to roost for you.

To explain the incompetence of the NDC as something motivated by a desire to punish Asantes is simply a hollow, ethnocentric concoction. What about the Asantes in other parts of the country?

Btw, as an Anlo, I don't hate Asantes; not even the ignorant and foolish ones among them who insult Ewes ad nauseam. I detest what they say and their misguided and over-bloated bigoted egos. I can easily deal with them, put them to shame anytime and kick their arses at will! After all, we Anlos were not among the Ewes the Asantes used to raid for slaves! You qs are simple to answer. In the case of Busia, and to a large extent Kufuor (he was member of Busia's cabinet too), there was concrete evidence of their targeting and discrimination against Ewes. I have posted repeatedly Busia and his PP's crass ethnocentric campaign against Ewes as captured by even a white man, Dennis Austin. They went on to start sacking mostly Ewes from their jobs. Sallah went to court and was vindicated and Busia cried "No Court, no court...."

Most devts projects in the Ewe areas of the VR were stopped. The records are there for all to evaluate. I can re-post some for you here.

Under Kufuor, it was Go on Leave for forensic audit to be undertaken. A lot of Ewes were affected again, though I have no sympathy for them. I actually mocked one of such affected persons here in London. Unfortunately he died from stroke, a few years away from his 60th birthday! Even if my own junior brother had remained at Ghana Reinsurance, became the head (he was 2nd in command in the '90s when he resigned) and was sacked thus by K4, I'd have grinned at him wickedly and asked whether he remembered his telling me that maxim about the mad man who takes people's "pioto" when they are in the bathroom? You see, most of the so-called Ewe elite think those of us who respond to the Ewe demonisation and vilification that is the staple of "these Akans" with some Asantes as their core, are chasing mad men naked from the bathroom! Our senior brother even recently called me from Ghana about my post, "These Akan" and their hangers-on, with a message from the bigger family. I lectured him soundly and gave him a message of my own. They can see the nearest Commissioners of Oath and change name, as I am readying my bazooka! Ha! ha! ha!

When Ken Agyapong said that Asantes should bash the heads of Ewes and Gas, it wasn't even discussed on the 2 main Ewe forums I belong to: CEANA and Ewelandgroup.

Now, let me reiterate again. It is the way the Asantes complain that is the problem. It is ethnocentric without any evidence to support that. The recent complaint from the chiefs of the VR didn't smack of ethnocentrism, as it wasn't linked to any ethnic group.

Ashantis have declared war on those they consider inferior who happen to run the country. You cannot whitewash this. there are certain facts you will have to come to terms with in order to credible. Kumasi is the base of the Ashantis. The coup of 1966 was ashanti driven. Manhyia Palace is Ashanti. Ashanti region is Ashanti territory. So any grievance from there is Ashanti grieveance and therefore tribal since ashantis are a tribe. Do you think the protest in Ashanti region was for EWE peoples grievances or even the Northerners? No it is soley for the Ashantis who now have usurp the AKAN label to make them the only AKANS in ghana.

You will not appreciate what you have until you lose it. Let me tell you this. First you have to fight Ghana police. Then you fight Ghana army. If you win over these 2 then and only them you will meet your target. By then you who is starting it will run and be dead. How about that. Think about it and hold your peace. Demonstrate as much as you want but don't think for a moment that you can destroy Ghana. Writing anything that suggest chaos is irresponsible in the least. Thank you
