Why deploy low class arsenal in a battle field when you could just drop a couple of cluster bombs to obliterate your foe in a couple of hours? If we could recall, all the goals by the US were scored through their right wings! What does that tells you? That place was weak!!! There's no fucken way in hell that we could conceive those goals if Harrison Afful was playing! Why was Afful benched? Why was Essien, KPB and Waris benched? Rabiu was good but he should have been replaced the very moment he was given a yellow card! This is quite obvious! Anytime a player draws a yellow, he becomes extra cautious in order not to attract a second one---so the right thing to do is to replace him!!
Kwasi and his foolish boss Kwasi Nyantakyi needs to be fired because they're very foolish idiots!!
Someone told me he suspects a sabotage or maybe bribery because he sees no reason why Kwasi should bench experience place at the expence of "colts"---I wouldn't go that far but Kwasi promised us last year that "Ghana would shock the world" this year!

And yet it took Appiah about10 mins to make the 1st change. Dumb move, And i don't understant why he likes Adomah so much. He doesn't deserve to be in the team period. Appiah could have brought in Afful and push Kwadwo Asamoah to the left wing and Ayew to play the Role Adomah came in for. It's so frustrating when stupid mistakes like these are made. Play your best eleven, score goals and you can bring in fresh legs to protect the lead. Don't chase the game.

He is as Poor as Konadu who won nothing in global football except the 1992 bronze medal in Barcelona. He was a wasteful striker anyway so how can he teach Gyan to score? Anthony Yeboah should ve been drafted in to teach Gyan how to score from critical areas in the 18 as he did it with ease in his playing days. I see Ivory Coast and Algeria qualifying easily despite the latter loosing their 1st game, they can beat S. Korea and Russia. Nigeria, Ghana and Cameroon need a miracle, team focus and hardwork for 40+ 7 minutes in each half of their remaining matches. God bless us all and God bless our homeland Ghana. Kwesi Appiah put the local keeper in the post and he will win u matches; the boy has bags of confidence and can do attitude we all saw him play against Libya and the likes.

How can you leave your best and experience players on the bench hoping your opponent will get tired before bringing them on board? This is the most stupid strategy to be adopted by a coach. The worse part is that, he is not ready to accept responsibility but trying to defend his stupid and incompetent actions. That is a problem in itself. I don't think the coach was watching the game as a coach but rather as a movie which he has no control over the

Consider the pay difference between Coach Appiah and his counterparts of US, Germany, England, Spain to mention a few. How about the Cameroonian coach? I wish GFA never signs a white coach again.
If Ghana could get two very good strikers, the team's story would be different. The national coach cannot groom a striker or two out of midfielders. Do you follow Chelsea football? The coach feels if he had had one good striker his team's record last season would have been different. He's been shopping like crazy to get one and he has one in Costas of Athletico, Spain.
Kofi did you watch Ghana and Germany game? Did you hear what the ESPN commentators said about Ghana? Compare Ghana's games with those played by the sister countries. Please show Appiah some respect. He is better than the coaches of England and Spain and Cameroon, to say the least.

As you rightly stated Tony, the team can only score a goal when they put the ball in the danger areas which the team did not do very much. You are right again when you said we can beat Germany and Portugal, yes we can but we have to play the the right kind of forward moving aggressive football to do that, not the exhibition stuff we did against the hapless USA.

I agree with you, I was hoping to see the KPB and other come in right at the start of the 1st but waited for a while, by then the US was pushing out and easing the pressure were mounting on them.

The 4-2-3-1 formation that AA has been deploying is not very effective. It lets you keep possesion a lot and score against weaker teams, but it doesn't allow for goal-scoring against good teams or even teams with the same ability as yours. In this world cup, I have noticed that most the teams who have used 4-2-3-1 have lost their matches--even the good teams. These teams include Ghana, Brazil (a different formation would have beaten Mexico), Croatia, Australia, Spain (used it for match against Chile and lost), Japan, England, and Bosnia-Herzegovina. The only exceptions are Colombia and Switzerland, who won against weaker opponents, and Nigeria who were evenly matched by Iran and tied. Appiah should use a different formation, but alas, we're already at the world cup so there's no room for experimentation (not that AA won't find a way to experiment).
