What about Harley and Deku. Why was Quarshiga not killed for planning a coup but others were. But his biggest lie is about Acheampong. Acheampong DID NOT PLAN AND EXECUTE the 1972 coup. He had absolutely nothing to do with the planning and was kept in the dark until at the very last minute when the coup was already a done deal. Acheampong was appointed to lead the government that was put in place only because the real coup makers (led by Major Baah) saw him as the officer who would be most acceptable to the troops. It is true that he was drunk when he made the announcement but it was because he was apprehensive and full of fear, not because he was spending the night with his girl friend whom he had promised money the following day.
