  GHANA WOULD'VE BEEN IN A FAR WORST SITUATION NOW IF JJ HADN'T STEPPED IN.
  
  EVEN OUR COLONIAL MASTERS WERE AWARE OF THIS FACT.
  
  THAT EXPLAINS WHY THEY COULD NOT HAULL JJ TO THE INTERNATIONAL COURT OF JUSTICE.
  
  JJ SAVED GHANA AND THE DOWNTRODDEN.

  Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Krobo Edusei and many other Akans gained Independence for Ghana. Kotaka (Ewe), was the main person behind the 1966 Coup, which was sponsored by the CIA. Apart from Afrifa, the main instigators of the 1966, were non Akans. Please note that the National Liberation Movement was also supported by those in the Northern Region. The problem with being consumed with tribal hatred is that it blinds you to historical facts. Unfortunately, the problems of Ghana can be blamed on all ethnic groups that have participated in Government since 1957.

It is absurd because those who make coups and their collaborators should not have the illusion that putting indemnity clause in a constitution absolve them of the crime they committed, namely subverting a constitutional order, treason against the state which carries maximum sentence of death.
  Dr. Ahoofe you messed things up by writing that in the Westminster form of government a person can not be President for life. To point to you that you wrote the untruth and the truth is that Queen Elizabeth has been the head of state in the Westminster government since 1953. She is the head of state of Great Britain, Northern Ireland, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Fork Island and Gibraltar. It is a constitutional order in the west that no one can through any other means subvert the right of people to universal adult suffrage and that is is only parliament that make and unmake laws.
  Thus an intellectual who look at us in the face and tell us just like the leaders of the west who believe that their countries can develop if there is peace, but on the other hand create instability in other countries just because the leaders of the west see the rest of the world as a laboratory where they can play their insanity.
  During the period of Inquisition we have intellectual like Thomas Aquinas who supported that insanity and unfortunately in the 21st Century we have intellectuals like you who advocate mayhem.

  Maj Boakye-Djan should bow his head down in shame. As a person in whom Gen Acheampong had reposed his trust and security, his betrayal of him is unpardonable! It is because of this trust that the General had in him that caused his vacillation and hesitation that Jerry alluded to sometime ago. In any case, his claim that the June 4th action was a coup to punish those who have carried out coups before his is bogus. In the first place, it was NOT a coup, but MUTINY; judging from the slogan that spewed out of the mouths of the Other Ranks(OR)i.e. "Kill ALL Officers", then "Kill all Majors and above" when they realised that they were led by some officers; and then finally, "Kill all Lt-Colonels and above" when they were told the officers leading them included Majors (& their equivalent in the Navy and Air Force). In the second place, it was only when Justice Annan, Obed Asamoah, Chris Atim and others were brought in that they were told that having removed the top hierachy of the Armed Forces, who formed the Supreme Military Council(SMC), they had to form a government. In the third place, if his action was to punish previous coup makers, how come only Gen Afrifa was executed, while ALL the surviving others like Gen Ankrah, IGP Harley, Commissioner Deku and co were left out? If I were the coward traitor Boakye-Djan, I will "BELT UP!" Long Live Ghana & our Democracy!
