Mr Yaw, Ghana does not have any politician that fits into your hypothesis. The first thing on the minds of most African politicians is how to loot money and empty the treasury and look out for their friends and family members. They have no passion and the desire to transform themselves and their community. African politicians must first become community leaders and volunteers before they show up on ballot papers. They must be accomplished individuals who have turned something into something in their life time. They must be able to articulate authority fearlessly and make drastic decisions including firing non performing and corrupt officials. They must be able to scrutinize who they hire and denounce corruption quickly. They must have a soldier's heart and stamp authority on the ground. They must be tactical veterans who can understand world events and use it to shape their landscape. We lack such politicians .

I agree with you 100%.A nation that is so corrupt based on their culture and traditional believes can in no way be transformed by one individual. The institutions are corrupt and so are our traditional and religious leaders. The opinion leaders are the same as the young woman who sells her flesh on the street, you see wrongdoing everywhere and it is accepted because everyone is doing it.When one person is caught in the act, people will protest on the streets on his behalf and radio commentators will have a field day, justice will be denied because the big men involved will interfere and frustrate the administration of justice.

MATEMEHO, THE OBSTACLE TO OUR PROGRESS!!!
Every right thinking Ghanaian must pray that sooner or later, the Matemeho tribalist political party will suffer a permanent breakup into two or more independent political entities which will deny them the monopoly due to sheer numbers to impose their corrupt, immoral and tribalist leaders on the entire country. Only the Matemeho NPP has that luxury to play Twi speaking Akan tribal politics in Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah's Oman Ghana. Adu Boahene, Safo Adu, Kuffour, Akuffo Addo, etc...Where are all the non Twi speaking Akans in the party? This is exactly what the Avoidance of Discrimination Bill was enacted in 1952 to fight against. The NDC had an Ewe, then Fanti and now a Northerner. 2020 must be the year for a woman or non Twi speaking Akan. 2016 is for President Mahama. Until the NPP change their tribal supremacist colors, we must unite against their filthy ways at all times!!!!!!!

JOHN DRAMANI MAHAMA is nether a transactional manager nor a transformational leader by any dint of the imagination. MAHAMA is a firefighting clerk who doesn't even know what he is doing.
Being transactional or transformational is not a matter of saying, it is by deeds rather than saying it.

TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP OF GHANA WILL NEVER COME IN THIS AGE OF CRIMINALITY AND LACK OF NATIONALISM AMONG THE ENTIRE RULING ELITE OF GHANA.
OBSESSION WITH CREATE LOOT AND SHARE AMONG GHANA'S SUCCESSIVE LEADERSHIP WILL NEVER TRANSFORM GHANA'S ECONOMY.
THE DEATH PENALTY FOR OFFICIAL CORRUPTION AMONG GHANA'S ENTIRE LEADERSHIP WILL BE OUR ONLY SAVIOUR IN THIS AGE.
WE CAN ONLY TRANSFORM GHANA BY ENMASSE EXTERMINATION OF ALL PAST AND PRESENT LEADERSHIP IN OUR MIDST.
ANYTHING SHORT? WE MAY HAVE TO PRODUCE ANOTHER "NKRUMAH" IN THE NEXT AGE. THAT'S WHEN GHANA CAN MAKE A HEADWAY.
CHINA NOW PRACTICES DEACONIAN PUNITIVE MEASURES AGAINST LEADERSHIP CORRUPTION, AND THE BENEFITS ARE THERE FOR ALL TO SEE.

Ghana is nowhere ready for a transformational leader with the current breed of so-called intellectuals and political elte class. It takes a person with love for country and time vested in understanding how the systems of governance in other nations work and how those successful systems can work in Ghana with a tribal centered population. Real scholars, not the Ghana brand, can easily note and understand why some cultures survive their system of governance and why other nations with homogeneous citizens failed trying the true and tested democratic systems and even communism; why China survives communism where others fail and why western nations excel at democracy while other make a mockery of it. Anyone who thinks the current make up of the NDC and or the NPP has a clue on how to transform Ghana even with their delusional ideas and practices of democracy is as comatose as everyone else here in Ghana. Democracy requires four things from the people: love for country, effective, efficient and.independent institutions, transparency of government and the rule of law. What system and or leader in Ghana is willing to let our security and police forces act without political interference? Who is going to be bold to haul all political leaders from J.J. Rawlings, Kufour, Atta Mills and Mahama administrations to account individually for their wealth? Once you let go crimes against the nation for others any attempt to enforce rules on others become hollow or seen as political.

I was shocked to find out Kuffuor actually signed the interim EPA of 20% during his time in office? Are these politicians normal at all or do they have souls?
