If, indeed they love their party and would want it to be in power 2012, they better advice Allan to tarry awhile as the mood of the country presently is to go for Nana Addo and certainly not Allan who has , in the past, shot himself in the foot by his resignation from the party and his refusal to join the campaign trail of the NPP in the last elections. He has also no track record in the political history of Ghana other than failure to even manage Kuffour's PSI on Cassava production. How can somebody who could not manage just a project manage a complex society as Ghana? Nobody would want to experiment again with anybody at all simply because a few powerful party members put him/her up for the country to vote on.

This response as a whole is childish and unnecessary. Is NPP leadership the birthright of Nana Akufo-Addo? Of course, Nana Akufo-Addo's popularity with the party grassroots makes him highly unbeatable in the forthcoming party leadership contest. Sadly, Nana Akufo-Addo will lose to John Mahama again. While Alan Kyerematen's loyalists and the GAKE are on about his attractive packaging[photo/telegenic, youthful, charm and appeal], Alan, I'm afraid, lacks the leadership qualities to be president of Ghana.

Should NPP lose to NDC in 2016, it will be clear to everyone inside and outside the NPP why the party lost: Nana Akufo-Addo. This is the unpalatable truth.
Therefore, the same "weakest link" point can be made against Nana Akufo-Addo. Both Nana and Alan have contributed to NPP's defeat in 2008 and 2012. And the Nana-Alan rivalry and the party's infighting will hurt the part's elections chances in 2016.
