in Ghana the media had sold the rights and power to corrupt politicians, government officials dont respect the very people they served , executive had taking the mass for granted ( look at the poor Performance of the economy, Transport and the killer fares, power crisis ( dumsor dumsor) no water, health delivery is in poor and bad conditions, Police & their corruption on the road, look at judicial & their injustice ) tell me which area deserved to be applauded?

I was saddened when I read the media report on this incident and felt ashamed that Ghanaian officials who should have explained things to the Israeli security rather agreed to detail the Graphic cameraman. It beggars belief that Ghanaian security were overruled by a foreign security personnel in a sovereign Ghana.
It's part of the general incompetence in Ghana because the police should have known that there were no legitimate grounds for detaining the cameraman, so they should have refused to detain him at the station.
Again, as the senior citizen rightly pointed out, Ghana and Israeli security should have collaborated on this matter for the Ghanaians to have explained things to their Israeli counterparts. The blame for this failure lies squarely with the Ghanaians.
With regards to foreign security carrying arms in Ghana or in another foreign country, the senior citizen got it wrong that that is not permitted. When the foreign dignitaries are high security risk persons such as an Israeli minister or a US diplomat because of poor boarder controls in Ghana and many developing countries, such high risk visitors are allowed to be protected by armed security agents from their own country. It even happens here in the UK when Obama visits the country he arrives with his own security detail. They arrive here days if not weeks ahead of him. Recently, a couple in Wales had to relocate their wedding from a hotel which was booked almost one year in advance because President Obama will be in the area to attend the G20 meeting being hosted by the UK Prime Minister. I also do remember when the late Gaddafi visited Ghana in the 1980s, there were armed security men and women from Libya who protected him in Ghana.
The Graphic cameraman needs apologies from the Israeli mission in Accra, if there is one, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ghana Police and Ghana Security. This should never happen again. Those put in responsible positions in Ghana should stop just being in-charge and be in control.

Why?
Because the editors are NOT journa;lists but bureaucrats. If an Editor had become a reporter, sub-editor etc before being appointed Editor, he would care about his staff. Once they get the job and the cars and allowances,the only thjing they care about is how not to offend officialdom and run the risk of losing their jobs.
The foreign embassy staff in this country watch these things and they know our weaknesses. An Israeli security man will knowfrom the files he reads on Ghana that Ghanaian news personnel are not respected by their own security apparatchiks. So he can get away if he disrespects them too!
For God's sake -- they do trhis on a visit by a mere Foreign Minister! So what would they do if the Prime Minister of Israel visits Ghana? Or the President of |Israel?

Kwame Nkrumah would have threatened immedioately to expel the Israeli Ambassador if this happnede under his watch. Of course, it woul not even reach him! His officials like Dei-Annang would let the Israelis know that Ghana is a sovereign state.
