Unlike the Asantes, the Anlos never agitated to leave the Gold Coast. They never even voted in the plebiscite because the issue at stake had nothing to do with them. They were never part of German Togoland.

Kwame Nkrumah's ghost is seriously at work here. You see how God works. Isn't it wonderful how the independence that they were pushing against had it's 50th anniversary falling on their shoulders? Something that they were seriously kicking against. And yet they blew so much money out of it, and grabbed the buildings that were to house dignitaries for the event. This seems to be just the beginning. They ain't seen nothing yet!

I laught every time I read about JB Danquah and KA Busia.

Those two were cowards, politically myopic, and intellectually shallow.

No wonder scholars (Black, White, Asian) at the institutions they attended in Europe leave them to wallow in their obscurity only to turn around and write extensively about Kwame Nkrumah, his unparalled legacy, his ideas.

Understandably, Nkrumah is more popular with scholars at the University of London (Danquah's alma mater) and Oxford (Busia's alma mater). What a sad and strange irony!

It is a shame Danquah and Busia do not appeal to international scholars, historians, philosphers, and scientists.

Excellent work, Dr. Michael Bokor.
