  I am not sure who Osman is in the scheme of things in the NPP but he has confirmed what has been denied several times. That there are factions in the NPP. Nominated Dep GS are labelled as Alan faction? Ken is a hard working person and deserves that post. If he does not get it, a lot of votes will be lost to the NPP.

  Kwabena and Afoko should know that they are finished, no future for them in politics. They should continue to be remote controlled by Kufour and Mpiani, we leave them to God.

  The very early efforts by Nana's Team to exclude anyone else from seeking for the NPP Flagbearership is to blame for the current crisis in the NPP.
  
  As a Party that professes to be the vanguard of Ghana's Democracy, it was an idea that undermined the very principles that the NPP stood for to project Nana as the only viable candidate for the Presidency. From the very beginning, any slight indication of opposition to Nana from within NPP was met with visceral dehumanizing attacks from his supporters while he silently looked on, perhaps, tacitly endorsing that tactic.
  
  So, when others sprang up from the woodworks to present Nana some real challenge for the Position, those potential candidates instantly were perceived by Nana's supporters as enemies from within, and suffered all kinds of insults from the Akufo-Addo Supporters.
  
  We should all honestly admit that the Arthur Kennedys, Nyaho-Tamakloes, Kwame Pianims, Kwaku Frimpong-Boatengs and Aprakus all became targets for invectives and other uncivil attacks from Nana's camp, simply for insisting that others deserved to be considered for the Flagbearership of NPP.
  
  Unfortunately, the more those insults were hurled at folks who simply intended to exercise their democratic rights within the NPP, the more their resolve to dig deeper into their goals.
  
  All along, the leaders of NPP would either remain silent or unwisely disparage any attempt to increase the number of candidates to contest for the position.
  
  Then, the Akufo-Addo Group began pointing at his former boss, President Kufour, as having something to do with the refusal of others to bless Akufo-Addo's sole candidature. They used the intent of Alan's to put in his straw as a clear testimony of Kufuor's behind-the-scenes contrivance to choose someone else other than Nana, and sharpened their tongues to disparage Alan and Kufuor.
  
  So, when the Tamale NPP congress came to pass, we saw a heavy rejection of the Akufo-Addo stalwarts at the helm of the Party's affairs for Afoko and Kwabena Agyepong who seem less enthusiastic to push Nana along, unopposed.
  
  The entire Party leadership should have long gotten together to send clear message to all ranks to comply with what the Party stood for and honor the candidature of anyone who intended to contest the Flagbearership and be courteous and objective in their critique of opposing sides. But that did not happen. Now, we are observing a steady assembly of factors for possible implosion.
  
  It is amazing how Ken Agyapong, for instance, who led the early denounciation of the Jake Obetsebi's NPP Administration that was supposedly biased, in favor of Nana, suddenly turned his guns around to target the Ashantis in the NPP to dump all the faults in the Party on.
  
  Such development indicates a certain lack of coherence in Party Unity and mutual trust for the leaders.
  
  Up to this point, the NPP has provided the Opposing Parties, especially the NDC, with adequate amunition to blow the former away, if only the Economy could improve a little better before the Elections.
  
  That is a very sad state of affairs.
