  Since Mahama and his government care so much about the care of women in their menses, I appeal to him to provide sanitary pads to our sisters in Nursing schools and Teacher training colleges. I am making this appeal because, those students were enjoying some stipends but the caring Mahama government has decided to take those away. Posterity will remember you as the president who cared so much that you decided to take loans to provide sanitary pads for some selected girls. Mahama pads will be your legacy. Thanks.

  If JDM is concerned about what teenage girls go through when they menstruate then he should provide them free pain killers too. How sanitary pads became a government priority in Ghana is beyond belief.

  Fool, that is why this doesn't make sense. If the government give these students $500 a year as stipulated instead supplying the pads, books, pencils, maths sets, how is the government going to monitor that the money is used ...

  This policy is supposed to start on the 2014/2015 school year, the same time Mahama's free secondarh school education for all Ghanaians so what is the need for this school books, pens, pencils, backpacks etc?

So here, what matters is the intentions of Government and best possible way to see it materialize or close somehow. The Ghanaian political terrain is very polarized.
