This writer must realize that poor organization resulted in the fiasco of Brazil. There was total mistrust from the side of the players towards the managers and leaders. The organizers were involved in so many things at the same time forgetting that success could only have come from the performance of the Black Stars. All the events were of secondly importance. The questions that Ghanaians should ask themselves is,how could the payment of appearance fees become confrontational and how come the players rejected even cheques and insisted on cash?.Afriyie Ankrah and his organizers messed up big time.

The WC fiasco was due to a long term mismanagent culture of GFA/Nation; we have the talented men/players to beat any team in the world, if only they are managed well. Ask yourselves.."How does it feel, if you are not paid after a day work?"...I do agree to the fact that the players stood their grounds to demand what was owed to be paid to them; the culture of mismanagement and corruption should stop so our talented boys would perform well to their maximum; ask the German players why they perform soo well...they are professionals who are paid well and held accountable of what they earn by the whole German Nation...corruption has no chance in the German National Team.

They lost because they had no moral integrity and started squabbling amongst themselves.
And Ghanaian "fans" (=empty headed FANatics, who don't know what's important in life) seriously prayed to GOD to give them victories over other teams, who GOD loves just as much.
As if GOD were even so interested in a war-like game, where corruption, fouls, bribery, manipulation, megalomania and greed rule supreme.
Where games are rigged for money and power and fame.
Where deluded masses deem themselves and "their" nation identical with or represented by a team of 11+ millionaires, who will be burnt out at 35, usually dependant on painkillers and prostheses to endure life with all their injuries, and usually soon forgotten by the masses that once carried them on their arms.
See what happens to most former Ghanaian Heroes and international Scorers after the FANatics have passed on to the next sensation:
Left alone in the hospital to die without visits or money, until finally he got some help from a colleague (Zamalek):
Former captain of Black Stars bedridden - Emmanuel Quarshie

If anyone let their hearts be broken by loosing in such a superficial game, after such incidents have happened, while real tragedies still abound in the world and even their own vicinity, then they might not deserve any better.

"Hopes went soaring, when the Black Stars through the qualification stages went through after dismissing Zambia who needed a draw from our last match to scale through for the 2014 world cup. The Black Stars eventually sealed qualification to the world cup when they thumbed and trounced the might of the pharaohs of Egypt with a historic score line of 6:1 in the play offs."......................There`s nothing to be proud of in that qualification in Africa with our supporting hearts always coming out of our mouths in every second game we played against these teams you`re trying to down-grade.Also,the score line with Egypt was 7 to 3. We were just lucky to beat that weak Sudanees while the Sambians dropped their point against this same weak side.Brother just say it and done,AA is a lousy coach. I`ll never forgive him for hiding that weakness behind his accusation of Muntari and KPB.That fufu and palmnut soup coach even lost to Burkina and Mali and still have the nerves to point fingers at some of our very best.

That's a good accusation but the shoe doesn't fit! Did the players accept the invitation to represent their country? Absolutely! Do they deserve to be appreciated? Yes. Did FIFA give them money to compensate them? Yes. If GFA truly represents patriotic appreciation, why the delay tactics and corrupt management style to withhold the players compensation? It wasn't as if the money even came directly from the GFA, the compensation is an appreciation to show their desire to represent their nation and they the players SHOULD NOT BE DENIED IT! If you want the next time you go to work tell your boss that you're feeling patriotic today so he should stop paying you, you'll work for free!

Yes the pay is different, I agree without a doubt but fulfilling promises are not! Even if the players were to be paid $100.00 the commitment to honor the promise should not depend on what the players have in their bank accounts. Honesty, fulfilling promises and responsibilities do not depend on standards of living. If you want quality of life fulfill responsibilities to all whether poor or rich!
