I used to think that Mario Balotelli was being too arrogant for snubbing Ghana but after the world cup tournament in Brazil, I wish I could meet him somewhere just to render my profound apology!
I've realized without reservation that ghana is not a country worth dying for! The country is totally disorganized to the extent that we have turned into a laughing stock of the world!
Nothing, and indeed, nothing is going on the right way! The president is foolish! The opposition party is a party of retards! The only thing that unites us as a country is our national team but look at how disgraceful it was organized during the world cup? Some of the players are non-entities! John Boye is even worst of!
I head a Jamaican guy ridiculing his Ghanaian lady in Canada that "look how stupid can Ghanaians be?" "You people gave birth to this precious kid-----Mario Balotelli", Only to exchange him for PIZZAT?

Jerome Boateng plays for Germany but never said anything derogatory about Ghana. And he won the World Cup! Congratulations to him and his team; even though they couldn't beat us.
People should learn not to 'burn their bridges' when the going is great' for them. For, we don't know what tomorrow brings. We might have to 'return some day' and might need a 'bridge'.

No one knows the full extent of his hurt about his biological parentage.Do you know how it feels to be given away by your parents and growing up in an environment where you can clearly see that the people calling themselves your parents, are in fact different in colour to you. Just consider the implications for a minute, and you will see that, no doubt, he acts up on the field sometime. For him, disassociating himself from Ghana is his way of having a go at his parents.
Time will tell if he will ever fully embrace Ghana. What about Danny Welbeck (Manchester United), I don't see anyone having a go at him for playing for England. Why should we blame them - considering how shambolic the Black Stars set up is,with personally juju amongst players and Officials selecting on favouritism.

Mario wrote he was back to his roots after eating jollof rice for the first time in 15 years doesn't mean that he has finally admitted to being a Ghanaian. I don't know how the article's author interpreted that as him admitting to being a Ghanaian. It could possibly mean that he is back to roots after eating jollof rice. Being born of Ghanaian parentage in Italy makes him an Italian. He made that crystal clear when he played for the Italian national team. Under FIFA rules, playing for the Italian senior side makes him ineligible to ever play for Ghana.

The question of Balotelli's origins does not arise.
Mario Balotelli is Ghanaian by parentage despite being adopted and brought up by Italians in Italy.
Balotelli's problems have arisen because he cannot forgive his parents for giving him up, and has not come to terms with his dual identity. He cannot identify with Italian society due to racist attitudes towards him, neither can he relate much to Ghanaian society because he was not exposed to Ghanaian culture.
It would help if he went to his parents and reconciled with them. This would be a step towards acceptance and reconnection with his roots.

Balotelli took a very good decision not to come play for the Black Stars. Look at how the GFA officials, staffs and coaches are treating players. Until you power drunk bosses throw that foolish African mentally of "I am the boss so what I say is final" then trust me Ghana will be loosing more talented players Like Balotelli in future. Don't blame any player who refuse to play for The Black Stars but rather blame yourself. You Ghanaian bosses are the root causes of all the Nation problems. There are too much unnecessary intrusions into the handling of the Black Stars. Until you bosses clean your acts and most importantly say goodbye to corruption, then the Black Star can never or will never bring any cup and happiness to the Nations. This is not rocket science or magic, it is a simple or an easy phenomenon to understand. People are very educated but fail to understand simple things in life. Wonders shall never end-----

Most people want him to return to his Ghanaian roots simply because of Blackstar but these people have forgotten that he is more of a liability in terms of morals to the team and Ghanaian youth, than an asset. After all, how long would he be playing for the national team. The moral damage he would cause the Ghanaian football administrators, the technical team, the playing mates, Ghanaian youth, and the entire nation would be more than the 4 or 6 years that he will be with the team. We do not need him. If he was able to disgrace his parents to the whole world, what wouldn't he do against Ghana?
