IT IS A DISGRACE THAT WHILST AT LEAST 90% OF HIS SUBJECTS SUPPORT NPP HE HIMSELF SUPPORTS NDC. THERE IS MORE THAN ENOUGH EVIDENCE TO SUPPORT THE BELIEF THAT HE IS AN ARDENT NDC SUPPORTER.

What you the npp supporters want is for the Asantehene to actively engage in party politics which the position he occupy as Asantehene will not afford him to do. Asantehene will continue to have a cordial relationship with anybody occupying the Presidency whether npp, ndc, cpp or whatnot.

We did not hear this charge of Asantehene being ndc when Kufuor was President, why now?

I am an active npp supporter and a Bono living in Kumasi for the past 35 -years and I don't like the way the Akyem wing of the party are doing though I have supported Nana Akuffo Addo and will continue to support him because I think he is the best man for the job now but the Akyems should calm things down. They are making a lot of us uncomfortable if they are behaving this way even before Nana becomes President. What will they do with Nana as President?

The insults are not coming from Akuffo Addo's supporters, but from NDC members pretending to be so. It is a diabolically clever strategy meant to divide NPP supporters in the Ashanti region, and it seems to be working.

It behooves on Nana Akuffo-Addo to come out and condemn such acts coming from paid NDC serial callers pretending to be from Akuffo-Addo's camp else he is going to regret one day because he cannot get the same number of votes from his own region, the Eastern Region as compared to that of Ashanti Region.

Akuffo Addo needs the massive Ashanti vote to win the Presidency. The eight Akyem constituencies cannot get Akuffo Addo the Presidency and every insult against the two most respected Ashantis continue to reduce his vote in Ashanti region.

The fact that the host of that program, Nana Frimpong being from Eastern region should not be used to divide the party.

By continually insulting the Asantehene on radio, she is actually playing a role in the wider NDC plot to reduce NPP votes in Ashanti during the 2016 elections. She and others like her seem to be succeeding in making some Ashantis (like Mr Justice Sarpong) mistakenly think that the insults are coming from Nana Addo's supporters. Mischievously clever, but it won't work enough to deny Nana Addo the presidency this time.

Even just thid morning. 7/25/14 , another one of these Asante haters called Kwame called into the program and started his diatribe against Asantehene and when Nana Frimpong told him to mellow his comment, he retorted. "ASANTEHENE WOYE HWAN?"

These people are not helping Akuffo Addo cause and the host of the program should deaden their microphone and cut them off because they are dividing the party.

I believe some of them are ndc moles as you are saying and it is the duty of the host to tell them he will not allow such inflammatory comments against Asantehene, Kufuor, Alan Kyerematten or Nana Akuffo Addo who I have never heard anybody on that program insult.

If Otumfuo is an Ndc, he has one vote and none of us can come up with evidence that he has been telling his subjects to vote for ndc. Where is the evidence that he is ndc supporter? For cordially receiving Mahamah, Rawlings and other ndc officials to the Palace? Asantehene receives politicians from all walks of life to the palace including npp people like Nana Akuffo Addo, Kuffour and others.

Let's do what will get us united and stop this childish nonsense about Asantehene being ndc because his position as king of Ashantis will not allow him to campaign for npp as some of you want.

I do listen to the radio show the writer is talking about and it seems to be Akuffo Addo radio station though entertaining and makes one feel good about Akuffo Addo if you are his supporter, it is really harming Akuffo Addo because it is a very divisive program with the same people calling into the program day in and day out.

Ghana In Crisis – Otumfuo Indicts Mahama

The Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has added his voice to numerous calls on the John Dramani Mahama-led National Democratic Congress (NDC) government to sit up and deliver Ghanaians from the current economic hardship.

'Although, the occasion of a special congregation has to be a happy one, I am sure no one here will dispute that the country is going through some trying moments,' he said.

'From where I sit, I hear cries from farmers, workers, traders, professionals, business and captains of industry, they cannot all be wrong,' the Asantehene noted.

The Asantehene said it was time to prevent the country from slipping from crisis situation to national disaster.

Otumfuo Osei Tutu II was speaking at a special congregation held by the University of Professional Studies (UPS) formerly Institute of Professional Studies (IPS) for him and two other distinguished personalities in Accra last Friday.

The two were Edward Doe Adjaho, Speaker of Parliament and Albert Kan-Dapaah, a former Member of Parliament.

Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and Mr. Kan-Dapaah are both past students of IPS and they were honoured for their contribution to the development of the institute while Speaker Adjaho was honoured for his contribution to democracy in the country.

High Utility Tariff
The Asantehene said 'recent high energy tariff has brought the country face to face with the prospect of a general strike. My interactions with captains of business and industry have revealed substantial disquiet about the effect of energy cost and on the cost of doing business in Ghana and a potential hindrance to job creation.'

He said that beyond energy, 'there are seemingly intractable problems around education, healthcare delivery, not to talk about the infrastructural overhang from uncompleted projects.'

He conceded that although every nation goes through periods of turbulence, 'it is how institutions of state manoeuvre through this turbulence that marks the difference between the stable and firmly rounded state and an unstable state.'

'We continue to believe that we have laid the foundation for a stable democratic state. We therefore hope that our institutions of state will rise up to the challenge to manoeuvre the ship of state through these storms. To do this, they must listen to the pain and anguish of the people they are paid to serve.'

'Let creative minds step up the plate and find a compromise and not wait till we move from crisis to natural disaster.'

Single Spine
The Asantehene said that stakeholders' intention of establishing the Single Spine Salary Structure (SSSS) had been good but its implementation 'has been fraught with problems.'

He said that the policy represents an enhancement of public sector emoluments. However, 'handling of conversion differences, premiums and various categories of allowances have led to industrial unrest and threat of strikes.'

'Before we embarked upon a scheme of this kind, we should have calculated the possible effects of our ability to service our debt. Is it any wonder that global rating agency should be downgrading Ghana?'

Otumfo has given Nana Akuffo Addo's full house in kumasi, at Nhyieaso so anytime Nana comes to kumasi, he stays at Otumfo's house since 2008 to date
