There's no difference between these guys (they're all guys) and the serial callers in to Ghana's FM stations who always ring in and have something to say everyday. The only difference between the two groups is that the ghanaweb serial commentators add degrees to their names to give their comments a semblance of academic seriousness. But in actual fact, they end up talking the same s..t as all those semi-literate radio serial callers who are enabled by the Twi (almost all of them are Twi speakers) that is the main mode of expression on these stations both in and outside Ghana.
One other characteristic of these ghanaweb serial commentators is that they are all living outside Ghana. They hardly visit the home country. Some of them have been residing outside Ghana for the past 30 years. Yet they know more about the daily activities of the country they have abandoned than even those who are living in the country and are taking part in those activities. The ghanaweb serial commentator has a view on everything happening in Ghana. And they express such views in such an authoritative manner that you would think Ghanaians still living in Ghana don't know a thing - not even that which is good for them.
The phenomenon of the all-knowing ghanaweb serial commentor can be studied in great depth. In fact, it can be a term paper for an enterprising undergraduate student in Media Studies and related fields.

No offeence, sir, but, if Ghanaians living in Ghana know everything as you imply, why then is the country in so much trouble, or it's not?

If anything it is rather the serial commentators who think they know everything. Then you will rather want to turn your question around: if Ghana has many of its citizens abroad who know so much, why is the country still in so much trouble?

Maybe because those in Ghana think they know everything and can solve every problem so they don't need any participation from anyone abroad. There seem to be some evidence pointing to that, or I lie?

Maybe Dr Borkor for one, may accept an appointment to assist.

Ken, the point I am making is that the serial commentators argue as if those living in Ghana don't know anything kuraaa. This implies that the people in Ghana also know something - that they are not completely stupid. There is NO implication that those living in Ghana know EVERYTHING! I think that's the bit you're misunderstanding.
Those I directly accuse of behaving as if they know everything are the serial commentators, not the Ghanaians living in Ghana! If you read through my first comment you will see that.
But Ken, you'll agree with me that even the serial commentators don't know everything even though they come here on a daily basis dispensing advice on everything. I even dare to suggest that those living in Ghana know more about the problems in Ghana and how to go about solving them than the serial commentators who are on ghanaweb on a daily basis.
Come again, Ken.

How do you know these people are on Ghanaweb daily if you are not there daily yourself?
The fact that some of you change monikers daily does not mean you can hide.

Kwakuvi Bokor, what kind of sympathy do you expect Ghanaians to give your incompetent president and his confused government, when the president says he won't listen to anyone? And, by the way, did you see or hear that your corrupt, girls' sanitary pad president was in Kumasi, giving away 23 SUVs and pickup trucks to chiefs, in the midst of these hard economic times? You should stop your nebro attitude and face the reality that your NDC government is cursed, and nothing they do will make a dent to improve the mess they have created. Maybe you need to move from your base in the U.S. and see if you can also enjoy some of the thievery, since that is all your NDC people are doing. Robbing Ghanaians in taxes and pocketing them through dubious business deals and unnecessary government commissions and committees. Anyway, good luck with your crying.

Communication is about conveying information which is factual. Fact is what this government is reluctant or even afraid to tell Ghanaians. What this government has in abundance is spin doctors
