LOOK AT GHANA;-- EMBRAER PLANE SCANDAL, STX KOREA,NDC US$20 MILLION PARTY HQ., US$4 MILLION DODGY JUDGEMENT DEBT TO MRS RAWLINGS AND HER COMPANY, SUBAH, GYEEDA, WOYOMI, ISOFOTON, WATERVILLE, AFRICA AUTOMOBILE, CP, SADA, FORTIZ/MERCHANT BANK,FREE EXPENSIVE CARS FOR CHIEFS, AKONFEM AND A HOST OF OTHER DODGY JUDGEMENT DEBT PAYMENTS. The best presidential candidate for NPP is Nana Addo"s running mate Dr Bawumia, cool and intelligent young man, will balance the equation in helping NPP win the coming election, based on my recent visit to Ghana.

Ibrahim, your story and its comparative analysis with the Ghanaian electorate is very simplistic. My view is that from the past elections the Ghanaian electorate has become more sophisticated than you may think. The fact is that the 2016 elections would be decided on bread and butter issues and for that reason alone, if the economy does not improve, Mahama and NDC have no chance. Please do not take the electorate for granted that whatever the situation they will vote for Mahama/NDC as far as Nana Akufo-Addo is the NPP presidential candidate. That is a myth and your own imagination.

Of course, I agree that if Nana Akufo-Addo and NPP continue to commit the same mistakes they made in 2012 such as the gimmicks of travelling in troro, eating with strangers, drinking pure water, Bawumia pounding fufu and his wife sweeping streets in Nima, then, they should forget 2016. I am afraid that the gimmicks have already began with Nana Akufo-Addo coercing the National Chief Imam to break his fast at his residence (showing a photo of a very unhappy looking Chief Imam) and market women carrying stones at the launch of his campaign. Politics is a serious business and not for jokers. The Chief Imam breaking his fast at Nana Akufo-Addo's home did not do him any favours at all. From the photo it was very clear that the man was there reluctantly. Why should the Chief Imam break his fast at the home of a non Muslim? It would have been better if it were at Bawumia's home.

The chief Imam, whose humility and modesty has won the admiration of many, cannot be so cheap to meddle in the politics of today in that cheap fashion. What I believe might have occasion the presence of the chief Iman in Nana's house is to prove a point that Islam's is a religion which embraces all irrespective of one's religious orientation. It would be very pedestrian to read politics into this since even if the much revered Iman have chosen to break the fast in Bawumiah home some critics might read sectarianism into it, that is, the Imam support the cause of the NPP because of the presence of a colleague moslem which could have neutralized or defeated and,to some extent, jeopadize the overall intention of doing so. Politically speaking, the damage caused, if any, would have been the same if the Imam had chosen to do so in Bawumia's home.

If the economy improves a bit by 2016 NPP will find it difficult if the elect Nana again. What NPP is yet to learn is that in Ghanaian politics policies don't sell but tribalism and personalities are hot cakes.

Even some people with herd mentality are considering newer options.
Naivety and gullibility are like anesthetics. They all put a person to sleep for a period of time but the people regain consciousness after the effects wear off.
John Mahama and the NDC may have pulled a fast one on unsuspecting ghanaians but the cloud of dust has finally settled after 6years and we're in uncompromising mood with reality check.It's been a long bumpy ride and the myth surrounding the NDC is broken.Your numbers don't add up yet Ibrahim Hardi thinks the NDC has a strangle-hold on ghanaians and will vote for the same corrupt and clueless John Mahama administration in 2016. If wishes were horses beggars will ride. Wake up Hardi. It's 2014. We've come a long tortuous road and there are torturous self doubts. Nana Akuffo Addo "lost" and John Mahama "won".
