  This pro NDC paper appears to be misinforming and miseducating people on a matter they lack understanding. The Supreme Court like Parliament is a master of its own rules. Again, the SC does not take instructions from lower courts and finally the SC can direct or instruct lower courts to stop or discontinue cases before them. What the SC did is within the law and the constitution of Ghana.
  
  The SC was compelled by the delays at the High Court, which are deliberate to act as it did last Tuesday. We all know that the current Attorney General and Minister for Justice is not interested in the state wining the case against Woyome so all these delays. The SC by this decision is saying, enough is enough.
  
  The attempt to blame the Kufuor administration that it failed to seek parliamentary approval of the contracts and that is what caused the judgement debts payments is pathetic. Woyome never had a contract with the then government that should have been taken to parliament for ratification. Woyome was a sub-contractor of Waterville. Both Waterville and Isofoton also did not have contracts with the government of Ghana because their contracts were abrogated for failure to raise the required funds to deliver the contracts. They were paid for the job done at the time (Quantum Meruit). Again, the terms and conditions of those contracts did not come into force because there was no need for the government to seek approval from parliament after abrogating the contracts.
  
  The NPP government did not fail to seek approval from parliament. The contracts were taken from Waterville and Isofoton and awarded to a Chinese company that was able to deliver and that is what was taken to parliament.
  
  What the then Attorney General and Minister for Justice and her NDC cohort colluded with Woyome to claim from Ghana was deliberate, fraudulent and criminal. They knew Woyome and others did not have the locus standi to make such claims but for political expediency, party and personal interests, they went ahead to pay in a typical create, loot and share enterprise.

  The sc is not above the rule of law and their decisions must comply with properly laid down and recognized procedures.In all jurisdiction if you terminate a contract when the modalities for the performance of the contract are in motion then it amounts to abrogation of the contract unless it has been agreed by the parties.
  
  if the sc is unhappy with the delays in the lower court the cj could have directed and make an order to the lower court to terminate so that it could assume its jurisdiction and appoint a superior court judge to take over the proceedings.However in this case this was not what was before the court.
  
  The court was asked to determine the procedural propriety of Woyome's contract and to determine whether Woyome complied with the constitutional requirement of foreign and financial contract procedures under the constitution and that was what the sc determined.
  
  In their ruling the sc determined that though there was a contract and that the contract was abrogated,since the contract did not go through parliamentary scrutiny and approval,it was invalid and therefore null and void.
  
  This rans against the doctrine of equity and the notion of fairness.To use a technicality to circumvent an otherwise proper contract is an affront to justice and our sc has failed one of judicial reviews cardinal principles of natural justice and the doctrine of equity.

  Mensah or whatever you call yourself, please do not make baseless allegations against me. Go back and read all my articles on the Woyomegate and you will know that I have been consistent from day one. I have also been a constructive and objective critic of the Mills/Maham/NDC government/s since 2009. I have never sought a position from them and in fact, even if they offered me one I would turn it down because I would not last long as I would resign over policy direction and strategy delivery. I have no intention of accepting a political appointment in Ghana.
  
  I am not one of those who follow blindly. Please refrain from making serious allegations against individuals just because you do not share their views. We cannot all have the same views.

  If Woyome is now declared guilty by the Supreme Court for legally claiming what was his, then what will the same court say to all members of the government who presided over the award of the "illegal" contract to Woyome.

  No court under the sun would acquit a con man like Wayome in a fraud that a kindergarten child knows it stinks like kako. You may play to the delight of your paymasters but fraudulent Wayome will go to jail.
