  As even the News Alert put out by the Akufo-Addo camp clearly stated, this is not the time to take chances by assuming and presuming without any concrete written evidence to the contrary.
  
  In serious and sensitive situations like this, the impersonated does not wait for more than 48 hours before responding. That would be simply deadly and criminal.

  How can any serious writer take anything that appears on ghanaweb of all places as true and written by the one purporting to have written it? That the man whose name is attached to it does not come out to deny having it is no proof that he did, indeed, write it! Only Okoampa will take that to mean the man, indeed, wrote it!
  
  Okoampa often makes factual mistakes in his hurriedly written articles but has never been known to correct, retract or apologize for such mistakes.
  
  Even if Hopeson issues a statement denying his authorship of the said article, Okoampa will never retract and apologize. He will only go on to write the next article on something some Ghanaian politician has said or done...
