  I have been following Dr Ahoofe's arguments with keen interest and I realise that he is moved more with emotional hatred and passion than objectivity. The tones and mood of his articles are excellent except when attacking Alan. It seems he just dislikes the man.
  
  I realise that Dr Ahoofe likes dwelling on Alan's purpoted resignation...But when will he also refer to Nana Addo's resignation with Paa Willie (William Ofori Atta) in 1979 and whats worse, during the run off, they joined Liman to win instead of joining Victor Owusu!!!
  Paa Willie then became chairman of council of State under Dr Limann. This single defection allowed Rawlings to organise a coup that sent the Nation back for 20 good years. The NPP only came back to power after 30 years. So if there is a serios defector, please add Akuffo Addo to the list and dont only single out Alan's phantom desertion as you always do. Akuffo Addo was the deputy General secretary of the defected party with his Uncle paa Willie.
  
  Let's be objective and put the past behind us...if not old skeletons shall be resurrected and Akuffo Addo will be seen as the worst defector of the UP tradition.

  Has Akuffo Addo never defected before?
  Did Nana not leave for London after he lost to Kuffour in 199 ...

  I find it very unbecoming of your status as a mature, accomplished Professor and Political commentator. Such behavior often bleeds the color out of your, otherwise colorful, narrative, unravels the fabric of your otherwise constructive opinions, and trivializes your position in relation to the issues on the table.
  
  I cannot see how you do Akufo-Addo's campaign any good antagonizing the supporters of Alan with such blatant baseless attacks, and insults on his person. Is it so Alan would cow under the implied threats from such tongue-lashing, and, maybe, withdraw from contesting against Akufo-Addo?
  
  Wherein, then, lies the much-touted exceptional credit of deeper democracy within the NPP versus the other Political Parties in Ghana?
  
  You, Professor Okoampa-Ahoofe, Jr., in particular, have long been a proponent of suppression of democracy within the NPP, since you began your stealth campaign to make Akufo-Addo the indispensable, sole special Ambassador-at-large and spokesperson of the NPP. That was a coy ploy you devised to subtly imbue the unsuspecting ordinary NPP members with the idea that only Akufo-Addo was good enough to be considered, and might have already been designated by the leadership, as the NPP Flagbearer candidate. In the very least, your scheme was to give Akufo-Addo an exclusive advantage of special recognition among all Party members and NPP sympathizers.
  
  I am glad that suggestion of yours was rejected outright. However, you have persisted in your efforts to have folks regard Akufo-Addo as some divine-ordained Presidential candidate, poised to claim his right of inheritance to the Presidency. And in doing so, you have vilified almost every individual that has dared pose a contest to Akufo-Addo for the NPP Flagbearer position.
  
  That campaign of intimidation you engage in is an anathema to true democracy that the NPP has always been claiming, and I wonder why you have clung on to it thus far.
  
  That attitude of yours runs contrary to what you so eloquently claim to be the tenets of NPP's philosophy in the last paragraph of this very piece of yours above. Mm, mm, mm!!! If that is not hypocricy of which you accuse Dr. Kennedy, then I do not know what else could be.
